Hi Ladies

Sorry, no flu remedy here...

I think i need a preggie roll... My back KILLS me at night... How much are they?

@Chrissy...
to answer your earlier question... Ecotrin is basically a blood thinner (3/4 of a dispirin i think)... My gynae put me on it right at my first appointment. It ensures a healthy blood flow to the uterus & baba this ensures baby gets everything he needs & hopefully the thinner blood reduces my risk of high BP again. I think it's working as so far no problems at all with high BP and every time i go to doc baba is bigger than expected....

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Hey Ladies,
Went for my 24 week scan this morning.
Had such a long wait in the doctor's office as he had to go and do emergency c-section.
Ended up waiting 2,5 hours due to the back log that build up.

All is looking good with baba. weighing about 700g. The femur is very long. Doc says baba is going to be very tall and slender.
Other than that both of us are doing very well health wise.

As far as the maternity leave goes. I have no idea what we will be doing as I work in our family business with my hubby and his brothers. I will probably work from home.
But I will work as close to my due date as possible.

Tazzy9: I had the flu...sore back and body, headaches and all that, I took some Panado Medisip (the doc said its fine) it's just the runny nose that I'm struggling with. I have some Saline at home, will try some tonight.

I'm planning to wrap things up by 16 December - two weeks before my due date. My colleague in my department is also expecting and is due in March which means there will be 2 months that both of us won't be here. The problem with that is, she was supposed to do my work when I'm on leave....lol. So now I'll maybe do some work while on maternity leave from home of course.

Enjoy your massage Tazzy!

juwayraj - I had flu a few weeks ago, Dr gave me that sterimar nasal spray (saline) and an antibitotic ointment to put in my nose cause I didnt want to take anti biotics. I also fought it off by drinking hot water with fresh lemon, ginger and honey 3 times a day and bedrest - works like a charm!!

Thanks Kelz - I cannot wait to try this preggy roll out!!

I am going to work up until a week before, well try to anyway. Want as much time at home with baba as I can get. I reckon a week is enough to get sorted and rest! but we will see..

I booked a massage for after work - I am so excited!! Need one... Enjoy your weekend

Good Morning ladies

It's a bit miserable here this morning but hopefully it will clear up soon.

I'm busy sorting out my maternity leave at work (our head office is a bit useless so I really must do it early incase there are any mistakes) I'm still trying to decide if I should begin my leave 4 weeks prior to my due date (As recommended) or if I should try and work as long as possible to get more time at home with the baby. My company only offer 4 months...what's everyone's view/experience on this? Is it better to have some "rest time" at home before hand??

Juwayaj: sorry I've been very lucky so far (finges crossed) and any sickness I have had has been stomach related - no cold/flu but I think that may be something to do with having had the flu jab before I fell pregnant.
Tazzy: you wont regret buying the preggy roll - best thing ever! I even use it when I'm lying on the sofa watching TV - complete life saver, especially if like me you struggle with back problems... ;)

Hope everyone has a great Friday and weekend!
