Hey ladies,

Hope everyone is well and did not suffer too much in this past weekends heatwave? My husband has decided to invest in a blow up pool (he initially said it would be a waste of money) but then he saw that I would def use it when I almost decided to run through the sprinkler system in the garden over the weekend just to cool down :silly:

Thanks for the info Tracyo! I think I will try the same (didnt know Discovery would cover something like that) How exactly does it work? Do I have to go to a pharmacy? Will def keep in mind about the wet wipes too..that's quite a bargain :-)

All of the pics are looking great ladies! I've got to wait until next week for our next scan, but will post pics then. Am going to book bed and 4D scan then too ;)

This weekend is my last birthday not being a mummy so I'm not too sure what I'd like to do (choices are still quite limited of course...) Although I'm really quite happy being around family and eating some of my husbands famous food (I'm so lucky he's such a good cook) so maybe I will request something nice...My sister in law is also pregnant with her second at about 4 weeks ahead of me so it's also nice to have someone to share this experience with first hand

Anyway, I think I have babbled enough for one day  Stay well ladies and have a great week!

Hello mommies :)

@cheriky - thanks for the info on the nesquick - I will definitely try it out. Hope you really enjoyed your massage and pedi :cheer: :cheer:

I got myself a new Medela Swing breastpump on weekend and I did not have to pay for it :woohoo: :woohoo: - Discovery pay for breastpumps and as we are already over our gap payment I thought lets see if they would allow me to get one - well not only did they cover the payment - there was no co-payment because the price Dischem charged was less that what discovery would pay.

Also for anyone interested - Makro are selling the 3-pack Johnson & Johnson wet wipes (scented and unscented) for R49.99.... we have stocked up on wet wipes

We are 27 weeks today.... :woohoo:

Have a fantastic week everyone!!!

Hi there Ladies

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend, despite the heatwave we are experiencing in Gauteng!

Not doing any personals today - just wanted to inform you that we are 24 weeks today :woohoo: :woohoo:

And we seeing the little bean Morgan later this afternoon!!!

Still suffering with that SPD - its definitely worse when i have done alot of walking... But have made peace with the fact that the only time it will go away is once Morgan arrives!!!

Also still battling with terrible hearburn... Everything i eat causes it - down to plain water! The strawberry Nesquik provides temp relief, but within an hour its back... Although i should mention that i suffer from GORD so the pregnancy definitely is making it worse!!

Chat again soon!

Have a good Monday ladies!

PS: my MIL passed away from breast cancer in 2009 so attached is a pic of my daughter and i doing our bit for breast cancer awareness month!

Me: 33
DH: 34
Married: September 2009 - 5 glorious years with my best friend!

@tracyo... sounds like you've had a bit of stress with the house... shame man...

Sounds like you're also having a big baby, i thought my boy was bigger than expected at 913g...

Not sure if you've tried it, but try strawberry nesquick, sorts out my heartburn like a charm and is delicious... Hope you come right soon...

I'm so excited, i've decided to treat myself to a back massage & pedicure tomorrow morning. Am leaving my princess with my hubby (not sure how either will cope - but they better get used to it soon)...

Have a fabulous weekend everyone!!!

Hello Ladies,

I cannot believe what a strain this pregnancy is taking on my body - I am exhausted and very uncomfortable already and not to mention the nausea and heartburn. What fun...   Had my checkup with gynae this week - I am 26 weeks and 4 days today - baby girl weighed 1039g :woohoo: - Dr says she is about 4 days ahead of due date.... looks like she might be born in Dec.

I have decided not to persue a VBAC after doing some reading - my age is definitely not on my side and adds to the risk.

We had previously considered selling our house - we wanted to move to an area that had a good english school for when Rebecca (3) goes to school but we had decided for now to stay where we are.... but after the run-in we had with our noisy neighbours we have put our house on the market.... now there are people coming to view every day.... to add to that the thought of moving..... suppose we will deal with that when it happens.

I just love looking at the photo's everyone has posted - so cute and so exciting!!!

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend - have fun!!! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
