Hi there ladies!

Cherikey - congrats on the new car! May it bring you many safe miles! Post a pic?

Also plan on working right to the end! With my LG i started maternity leave on the 1st of July - on Doc's recommendations - and my LG arrived on the 2nd of July at 38weeks! It was awesome spending all that time with her!

Hoping this one makes an appearance at 38weeks too - then i should go off middle Jan and have till end of May at home with her!

@Nadia! Enjoy the scan and keep us updated? Always exciting seeing the little ones growing!!! And you with twins must be even more awesome!!!

Roll on weekend - this has been one busy week! Have to go to CT for work on the 18th, dont like staying away from home, so it means i take the 6h00 flight out, that means getting up at 3 in the morning!! And then i fly back at 2 in the afternoon - and only getting home after 5... so its a long ass day for me and i dread it every time! Can only imagine how much worse it will this far along and with all these pains! :(

Chat soon!

Hello ladies!!

Cherikey - enjoy the new car :cheer: :cheer:

Nadia - we are on the classic comprehensive plan - it also helped that we had used all our savings and were over the gap - enjoy your scan tomorrow - always exciting seeing our little one's growing :)

Tanz - Check with Discovery - they allocate a certain amount for "External medical items" - if one has savings it will probably come from the savings - I went to the pharmacist and asked them to process it against the medical aid & they could immediately tell me it was approved - I am not sure about other pharmacies - I got both my breast pumps from Dischem.

Took Dr's advice - I am taking my vitamins later in the day which helps with the nausea and hubby and I now go for a walk early in the mornings and I must say am feeling a lot better

I am also going to work as long as possible - my leave starts on 21 Dec - I think Dr will deliver baby before end of Dec and my maternity leave will start on 02 Jan.... then yippee no work until May :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: - just lots of bonding time with my girls

Hi Ladies,

WOW I havent been here in forever!

Hope you are all doing well?

Tracyo - please give some more info on the breast pump claiming from discovery? I would love to know how that works... Cause those things are expensive. Hand pumping didnt work with my first baby, so I had to borrow a pump from my sister. Wouldnt really like to do that again...

Kelz -

And my opinion... Work for as long as you can! I went off three weeks earlier with R. It was three weeks of hell!!! The time goes so much slower when you have nothing to do. And I lost three extra weeks I could have had with him. I am going to work till the end this time. I was so depressed after the third week, heatwave, big and fat, no company at home (and you can only watch so much TV)...

Diagnosed with Severe Endo May 2007
Laporoscopy & Historoscopy in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2014

Morning ladies

The pic's are looking so cute - we are booked for our 4D scan on 17Oct - I cannot wait to see our LG.

The medical aid paid for both my breast pumps - with my LG I had bought the Medela mini-electric and paid cash at a Dischem and when I found out I could claim it from m/aid - I had to get the ICD codes, etc and submitted the slips to Discovery and they refunded me for the breastpump (with a co-payment) - this time I went back to Dischem and I took the breastpump (Medela Swing) to the pharmacist and asked her to see if it is covered by m/aid - she said she would have to put it through and could then reverse it if it was not what we wanted - but discovery did agree to pay for it - the price on the box was R2399 and when they processed with m/aid the price showed R1795 and Discovery paid the full amount - the pharmacist said their must be something wrong with their pricing but she put it through anyway so I did not have any co-payment :woohoo: :woohoo:

I breast-fed my LG for almost 2 years and I used the breastpump everyday - totally worth it!!

I suppose I need to start with my work even though I REALLY dont feel like it.... :silly:   - have a fantastic day!!!

Hi there everyone...

Agreed @Kelz - the heat was unbearable... we weren't initially gonna put a pool in our new place but after these few days hubby has been convinced that we should indeed invest in a pool! So now i cant wait to move!

@Tracyo - how did you go about organising that with the medical aid? I have the Avent electric pump and it worked well with my LG - i expressed at work until she was 9months old... thinking about getting a new one...

The pics do look stunning ladies and the baba's are growing so well hey!! I have a few of my own to add...

The little bean is growing well and Doc is very happy, finally! He was initially worrried that she always smaller in weight (but taller) than her wsister was... and at yesterday's scan she finally exceeded her weight that she "should" be based on her gestational age...

She is weighing 700g at 24weeks!! And the femure length is 4.5cm... :woohoo: :woohoo: She has her down there towards the side of my stomac... which i could see in my skew stomach yesterday!

Also got the hospital forms so i will book when are 26weeks so that we can get the free 4D scan from the hospital! Will book the 4D scan for 30weeks - the same as for my LG and we got the most beautiful pics of her face!!

Anyway ladies - enough waffling! Back to work for me! Have a great week!

PS: the pics are mainly of her face... and there's one with the femur and LEGS galore!
