My EDD is 2 April.

HypnoBirthing is ante natal classes preparing you for a natural birth. It teaches you great relaxation techniques and breathing techniques to help optimize your surges (contractions), by doing this you:
1 have less pain
2 have shorter labour
3 lessen the chances of your baby going into distress.

In general HypnoBirthing is a great way to birth if you want to go into labour without fear, calm and in control of your own body. Your body and baby works together to birth the baby and babies are usually very calm due to the wonderful endorphins released during birth and the calm birth experience.

I am also a doula, so have attended many births. Please feel free to ask questions if you need advice. Also working towards my breastfeeding consultation qualifications so can help with breastfeeding as well...

Other than that, I am a very green mommy, using mostly natural products. Cloth diapers, very little if any normal soap in and around the house and we use only alternative meds, none of my kids have had antibiotics ever.

@stella, I try to work as long as I can, I will work until a day before the baby is due, it is just so that i can spend longer at home, and my work is not hard, so I sit most of the time.
With my LB - went on maternity leave the Friday, he was born the next Thursday
With my LG - went on maternity leave the Friday and she was only born a week and a half later, I could still ahve worked that week, but was not in the mood.
With this one, I will try and work until Thursday before Easter Weekend, if he or she is not born that weekend, I will be back on the Tuesday to work.

Welcome to our group
I also have two kids, both born naturally with a midwife, LB was born at Linksfield (before genesis opened), LG was born at Genesis, and this one will also be born at Genesis.

You are also a cloth daiper mommy if I am not mistaking, we have some new mommies on here that would love to try cloth nappies.

It is great to have a hypnobirth teacher on here, now we can all ask some questions, and not be so scared of natural birth. I've read the book with my LG and practised some methods while in Labour, but can't remember all of it.

Makat, looks like 3rd trimester starts at 28 weeks. still a way to go for us.
seeing that everyone says the 2nd trimester is the best time, you should not wish the time to go by...hehe

how long before your due dates will you start your maternity leave ladies?

Mommyme, i catched on to your fruit craving hehe my lucnhbox had cherries, grapes, litchies and a peach in. but my little boy must be growing like mad today, because i'm still so hungry and the day is only halfway through

I have been reading here and there. I am pregnant with my 3rd baby and due early in April 2014 (currently 19 weeks pregnant.)

Like I said, I have two kiddies, a boy aged 4 and a girl aged 3. They are both very excited about the new baby and because we already have a boy and a girl we have decided to keep the sex of this baby a surprise.

Both my other kids where born naturally, the 2nd with the use of HypnoBirthing (which I now teach). So this one will hopefully also be born naturally with HypnoBirthing. We are planning a home birth with a midwife and doula attending the birth. So I'm seeing the midwife for most of my appointments but seeing the gyni now at around 22 weeks for a fetal anomality scan.

It would be great to get to know you ladies!
