Makatk, i doubt i will have a peaceful baby. I think she will be very active, with all the kicks that i am getting, not that i am complaining.

Today my back is killing me

Morning mamas.
I delivered my daughter naturally and for me the experience was good. Don't get me wrong there were lots of factors that contributed to it being good...I was very young (18), very active at that time I used to walk about 6km every day. My water started breaking around 10am (slow break not gush of water), I only went to hospital at around 8pm and my daughter was delivered at 10:25pm. Because I didn’t know what to expect I was still expecting the worst when baby came.

I delivered on a Monday, the following week Monday I was back on my 6km to school . I had few stiches but by that Monday I was completely healed and back to normal. My “kuchi” was never affected at all tmi I know.

I was planning going natural with my son, but then ended up with emergency c-section because he was 2 days overdue and he had meconium( he poopoed inside), he had to be removed before he swallowed the staff. I was able to walk upright on day two, but the scar took about a month to feel better. My body got into shock after birth and I lost more that 20kg which I struggled to gain back…and I remained with a scar. Besides that, both my deliveries were pleasant but my prefereed option right now is natural. Because you heal once and for good. Whereas with ceaser I get cautious when I’m on my bikini’s.

I agree with Sterretjie, I think each one of us react differently to pain and you must consider that when you make your decision. All in all if shove comes to push I can do c-section without any problem.

My birth options - And this is my opinion and how I feel
I had my last 2 kids natural, and will not change that for the world, although I had alot of stiches, where you do not want stictches, but I will do it again, and again. I am horrified again of a c-sections. I had the most amazing waterbirths with my kids, no rushing, no doctors pushing you for time limits, it was great. IT is Very Sore, dont get me wrong, it is very painful, I had no pain relief, and that is what I wanted. My LB was born within 12 hours of first contractions, my LG within 8 hours of contractions, and if everything goes according to the book, the third one should be born within 6 hours - but lets see

its a big thing to think about. i want to do the natural birth.
i have 1 friend who said her natural birth was extremely traumatic. but then i have a few friend who said their natural births was the most beautiful experience.

Not much news on this side - not as tired any more and the MS is also gone!!!!!

I had a myomectomy in 2009 and one of the disadvantages is that natural birth is not an option so the safest is a C-section. Yes, it is painful but I was up and about the next day and I started driving when my daughter was 6 days old. It all depends on yourself - the quicker you walk the better - the more upright you walk the better. It was very sore the first time you stand up but after that it was okay - it also depends on your pain level.

A couple of my friends had both and they prefer the C-section. My best friend had her first child last year (stays in Dubai) and she had to give normal birth and she was horrified to such an extent that she will NEVER have another child. She said there was nothing natural about it - her opinion.

Hope you all had a good day.... I'm almost on my way home. Cannot wait, I've been falling asleep since lunch time. LOL on the positive side, I haven't vomitted yet, even when i started feeling naar... hope it lasts till tonight.

Jay glad you are doing better, yeah those off days just suck!!! And your scan is missing.

Ok so where did you send your numbers too??? Privately? Or am I missing something?

I've been drinking herbalife shakes but even that I vomit, so I didn't want to buy the mom2b shake and just vomit that up also. The ingredients are mostly the same....

I've had that same thought. My first was also a tiring affair where I felt labour pains from Wednesday and only give birth Friday. But I also don't want to have a c-section and feel pain for the rest of my life? Or am I wrong in that thought?
