WOW! Gain-a-baby! Well done! Its so nice to here that you still managed to do natural birth after induction. That the one thing i have been worried about, should my gynae also request an induction.

Hello! Sorry for not replying sooner. Getting into the swing of things with having a newborn around.

I will post my birth story in that forum, the short story is that I was in labour for 14 hours and thank God, I managed natural birth, by the skin of my teeth! I was admitted for induction on Thursday evening, the pessary was inserted around midnight and I slept until about 5am. Started feeling period like cramps from that time and my gynae broke my waters around 8:30am. From then on the contractions started and the pain, although bearable at that stage also started. It became more intense as time went on and around 2:30pm I was 4cm. My epidural never worked the first time and for three hours I experienced wall climbing pain with each contraction. Eventually the dr returned and tried the epidural again and my son was born at 21:56pm.

He's perfectly healthy except for a bit of yellow-ness which the paed says should go away and I should keep in natural light when possible.

I'm so grateful to be able to give natural birth, it's still a bit uncomfortable as I needed two little stitches but Dr prescribed some pain meds.

All in all a great experience, except for the epidural not working.

Breast feeding is going well He sleeps for about 3/4 hours at a time.

This little one actually sleeps pretty well, or did at least, the last two days has been a struggle getting him to sleep.

Mine doesn't sleep much....getting use to the zombie mode is very difficult.
But all worth it.

My little man is already starting to interact with us. Never thought that one person can make me smile so much.

I had my appointment with Dr Dalla today and we spoke about my birth and pain relief options. She's so lovely my last app is next Tuesday and based on that exam she'll let me know if I should check in at CGMC next week Thursday or Friday. LB weighs 2947grams today. So good to see him on the scan, it already seems like he has he's own personality Lol....

I hope all the other mommies are well and will share their birth stories when they can.

So my induction turned c sectin as baby's head was swollen a bit and i wasnt dilating. I was dissappointed until i saw his little face and all negativity just faded away.

CG mediclinic was really awesome, but if i can give you some advise if you are planning to breastfeed, ask for as much help as possible! I didnt ask for help and it looked like i was cming right, but now for the first time in 3 weeks i am not crying when breastfeeding.

Whether you do c section or natural by indction, it is all so worth it!!
