I want to tell my boss next week after my fetal assessment, it's booked for 9am and I'm coming to the office after so will break the news then. I've already told 3 of my colleagues (a drop in the ocean as we have over a 100 employees) and they are as excited. Our HR department will send an email to the whole company which is usually cute with pictures etc...I say usually as we've had a bit of a maternity ward in the past year with 13 babies born and three more (excl me) on the way...
Thinking of a fun way to do it as my boss is a fun person so I'm going to fill out a leave form for 4 months from my due date and watch her reaction

Hi Everyone! Just told my colleagues- we're a close knit bunch but with all the excite the news spread through our whole department! Its amazing how excited people get for you. I was a bit worried at first because I dont like a lot of attention but all the love just made me feel worlds better. Anyone telling their colleagues soon?

AFM: 12 weeks today and I'm not ready to buy things yet, so for those of you who are keen I'm still suffering from the cold/flu, had to stay home yesterday to rest as the congestion gave me headaches all day. I still feel like my head will explode today but I'll be fine. Been drinking rooibos tea and only taking 1 panado a day.

Hi Everyone,
hope you're all doing well! Had my NT scan on Tuesday and everything is going well. We found out that I have two little boys growing inside me I was hoping for at least one girl but I'm happy nonetheless. The boys were jump around, kicking, swallowing fluids and putting on a real show. They are both in their sac with their own placenta's so that is a big weight off my shoulder! Chances are they are not identical though which is fine because I kept wondering how I'll cope with figuring out who's who. LOL.
I am just past my 12th week so I've begun to spread the news, telling my mom this weekend after having called DH's mom after our visit to the doctor. Everyone seems to be sharing in our joy and excitement!
We've also just found out that my sister in law is also expecting, so we'll be delivering about a month apart!
I am feeling exhausted and kind of weird this week though. I'm struggling to sleep and to stay comfy throughout the night. I've always had a big tummy so my bump is fairly large already, is anyone else experiencing the same this early? Hope you're all doing well! I've attached some pics, it was a bit hard to see them both at the same time.
I've been online trying to find a cot- just looking for now, but anyone know where I can find a good quality cot that wont break the bank? I'm so in love with the Stokke cot but its crazy expensive!

So, turns out that the heat of the past couple of days (approx. 40 degrees Celsius) and my pregnant body do not see eye tot eye... Yesterday towards the end of my working day my feet and ankles were swollen like balloons. I had cankles... VERY sexy Obviously it does not help being on my feet the whole day being a teacher and all.

This morning my feet were much better, but my hands are a bit swollen. I really thought water retention only happened later on, but I read up on it and seems that it is fairly normal.

Furthermore the fatigue is almost completely gone and all in all I feel wonderful, except for all the bathroom trips still... Baby moves around a lot!

Can't wait for my next scan. I read about a clinic in Goodwood - Peek-a-Babe, they specialize in 2D, 3D and 4D scans. I am thinking about going there when I am 20 weeks, but my hubby says that I should just wait for the scheduled 23 week scan... But I REALLY want to know whether it is a boy or a girl!!!

Anyway, I need to get back to teaching...
