Hi Everyone,

just got back from my scan. Everything looks perfect! So happy about that. And drumroll please.... It's a boy! DH almost burst into tears, he really wanted a boy. Me too so we're over the moon! So amazing what they can see these days. I even got a pile of photos on a fancy flash, and even some videos! The coolest is when they display a perfect realistic 3d model of your baby in the placenta.

Natsvan eish that sounds really crazy, unfortunately other pain meds are out try to take it easy for a while! I've also had an old back problem flare up again, so I got myself some treats for bathtime, the soaking is really helping, and it's nice to feel like your spoiling yourself a bit.

We had a ridiculous weekend at the lodge. I started planning a 50th birthday party with 370 guests almost a year ago (didn't think I would be preggers when the function happened). I ended up working 18 hour shifts friday, Saturday and Sunday trying to set-up a massive marquee and a boma. Clearly I over did it coz i'm now lying in bed with a very sore back (think my sciatica is back). Panado doesn't help at all, I'm guessing that's the only pain relief I can take ?

Joans, hope the scan goes well and you find out the sex, I did with my lb. I'm going for my 12 week scan next Thursday so hopefully we will see if Roo is getting a brother or a sister

Keep safe mammas, remember you are pregnant and not super heros!!!

hope you all had a good rest this weekend.

MommyMe Eks bly julle is okay! Sjoe sulke dinge kan mos so maklik skeefloop, groot stuk genade. Ook bly om te hoor babs het 'n mooi hartkloppie, bloeding is maar altyd scary. Hoe gaan dit vandag? Vandag is mos weer afspraak tyd. Hoop alles verloop goed!

Natsvan yeah my job is really convenient for now, but we'll have to see how that pans out next year.

I'm going for my end of first trimester scan today, really nervous as they'll be looking at Down's markers and other abnormalities, but at least if we get the green light here we know we can chill out! Also, we might be finding out the gender today (holding thumbs!) which would be REALLY great. I guess its just first baby jitters, I know the chances are really really slim that something will be wrong as DH and I are both really young, but still. Prayers would be appreciated!

Had weird dreams about having twins and a third ectopic pregnancy so I guess that freaked me out a little. But other than that my symptoms are MUCH better. Getting some energy back, food aversions are calming down, and have started gaining a little bit of weight (about half a kilo, and I'm happy about that, because Thursday I officially start my second trimester)

Hi ladies

Wow what a weekend so far.

Had quite a scare. Started spotting last night, called dr this morning and he said i can come in for a check. So that sommer became my first app today. Unfortunately on the way there,me and hubby was in a quite serious accident. I mean really. We both are fine,but the guy in the other car perhaps not. He was turning in the middel of the road and we slided after trying to stop.

Luckily some very nice people stopped and took me to the drs office. I am happy to say that babatjie is doing just fine. Little heartbeat 170 bmp. i was so relieved.

I will be going for me scheduled app anyway on Tuesday as hubby had to stay at the accident scene and missed the scan.

Nadia luckily tomorrow is holiday still so you can rest and sleep.

Hope all the other ladies are having a nice eve and weekend.

Just thought I'd pop in to say hi and see how everyone is doing?

It's a stay in bed under the blankets kinda day in rainy Cape Town! So that's what I intend to do (accompanied by my books!)

Still feeling extreme tiredness! Counting down the days to second trimester and more energy
