Hello Ladies

how are you today?
Gloie@ I know the typing whole day. These days I seem to be typing the whole day to get my mind of the exercises.
Yesterday I went to my gp who refused me a referal letter to see a Chiro;> so I have to pay cash, I have booked to see my midwife on tuesday at 40.1weeks to do a stretch and sweep if nothing happens over the weekend and I am meeting my Gynea on the same day afternoon for my check up, poor guy if he knew that I have a plan B he wont try his deadline luck with me, I have waited this long and everything is fine that I am not in the mood for csection lies unless its really needed. Lets hope the SnS works if i dont go into normal labour by monday. My hip is still uncomfy;(
Starreyed@ how are you doing, please keep us updated, thinking of you.
Ronelle and Faffy@ how were your showers. Sure you had fun.
Newbie@ how did your Chiro app go.

Hi Ladies!!

Oh, I love reading all your posts, wish I could comment on everything - but then I will only be typing the whole day. :)

Newbiemom - Great to hear that baby is doing well and seems well on her way! The pelvic pain sounds nasty, hope the Chiro can sort that out. Keep us updated! Good to hear that you have someone to take care of your son, it takes a huge weight off one's shoulders to know your eldest is well cared for.

StarryEyed - How are you doing today? Any more news from the doctor or tests? You are still regularly in my thoughts.

RonelleB - I think we must all "try" and relax about the whole due date issue. It really is more like a due date "month" than a specific date? But I hear you, I am kind of the type of person who doesn't like surprises and prefer to know what is coming, which in this case isn't going to happen quite like that, I need more patience!

I didn't have a lot of braxton hicks with my first, even now I sometimes wonder if it is just baby stretching, so relax...

Faffymum and RonelleB_So... did you have a baby shower at work? B)

Faffymum - glad to hear baby is doing well. If the doctor is happy with the weight gain I wouldn't stress too much, I think they grow at their own pace. Just keep looking after yourself.

About the reflexology: Yes, I will be doing that closer to 40 weeks too. That is the other thing the midwife recommended to kickstart things.
Accupuncture could be benificial too.

Nels - With the VBAC we are attempting I would also stay clear of any artificial way of induction or augmentation. It was one of the conditions of my VBAC to be allowed. Hope your hip pain is not getting any worse!

Hope everyone has a good weekend and manage to eat a lot of scrumptious food!! xx

Ag no starryeyed im so sorry, i missed your post the other day. I hope you are okay and that they get some answers for you soon....

I feel for you being in the same ward as healthy babas. When i had the first miscarriage they put me in the same ward as moms who were in early labour, so all i could hear was those monitors with little heartbeats racing, and i was about to have a procedure to remove my baby thatbhadnt made it. Eventually a sister came in and saw me and luckilly moved me to a ward where the moms stayed for a while after their babies were born. Which was also hard, but she knew they would just be in there for a while so i was mostly alone. But its very tough if you are goi g through something and everyone around you is in a completely different place.

Please update if they get back to you with any news. In the meantime i am praying for you and lo xxx

1st pregnancy - We had a natural birth at home with our midwife. It was a dream come true!

2nd pregnancy - 2012 Miscarriage at 12 weeks (blighted ovum)

3rd pregnancy - 2012 Miscarriage at 7 weeks

4th pregnancy - 2013 Twins Miscarriage at 6 weeks 4 days

3 Sept 2014 - Saw and heard our little heartbeat.

Oh yes I have heard of that and heard of a few moms who said it worked for them. That also I dont mind doing. Most of these medical methods work better when your body and baby are ready and the medical inductions were really made to help during labour that had stalled not for before you even go into labour. The natural methods like reflexology are methods to prepare your body and baby for the journey ahead. So reflexology and chiro are for me beneficial and stretch and sweep and folly balb are if nothing is happening but body is ready and you have no choice and maybe need help for your cervix to wake up as its less invasive then medical intervention (I stand to be corrected).

Stay strong Nels_n.....almost over. Deep breathes.
I agree that induction is asking for trouble. I think just stay calm and rest and imagine the birth happening. Keep telling yourself, baby is coming any day now and it will all go beautifully.

My friend's mom does reflexology. She says she can induce me naturally (close to due date) with a foot massage...ever heard of that?

Ronelle & faffy@ thats so nice. Enjoy it.
I have thought about natural inductions like sex, eating dates etc but on other interventions I would prefer maybe having having a stretch and sweep at 41 weeks rather than medical induction. But def NO rupturing of my membrane(some Dr do this and its not good). Castor oil can be dangerous so I am on the fence with this one. And inductions mostly lead to a csection , I know that personally and the stats are frightening on this so not 100% chuffed with doing it at all:(.
Lol, i have come to realise that these babies start realising how how hungry they have been in the past 2 trimesters so its eigther now or only milk after being born no chocolates or pancakes etc:D.
My patience is starting to run a bit thin with all the growing belly and being uncomfy and the 40 week coming on monday.

ooooh exciting RonelleB. I also had my 34 week check up a few days ago. Placenta is good, pockets of fluid in amniotic fluid so he still has space. Heart rate and blood pressure for me and baby still good. He is now approx 2.1 kg. His growth rate slowed since our last check up. Our last check up 6 weeks ago he grew 175g per wekk..but the last 3 weeks he has grown 100g per week. I hope it's not my stress levels :S But doc is happy and says everything looks good. I have had absolutely zero feelings of braxton hicks or any pains. just heavy in the pelvis.

Yesterday I got home a ate 2 donuts, ice cream, crackers and cream cheese and I wanted more.. This weekend I am making pancakes for sure. :) My hubby is also like...what is going on with you..suddenly the appetite (especially for sweets) is flying through the roof.

RonelleB...I think I get the feeling my work might be doing the same thing for me today...lets see what happens...
