Hi all!

Trust everyone is well today? By well I mean still alive, taking strain but happily so... ;)

Had my 34 week check up yesterday, dr says placenta still quite high up, lots of amnio fluids and a slower growing LG is what's making me tick at the moment. BP = fine, glucose = fine, proteins = fine. So I asked if he thinks we're going to walk "all the way to 40 wks" upon which he responds: Oh but of course! :S 42 days and counting...

Not having been pregnant before I need to get a better grip on what braxton hicks feels like. I get these "feelings" but I am never sure if it is baba just having a leg stretch and keeping it there for the count (I can hear the "and 5 and 6 and 7" in my head tsk tsk tsk) or if it is braxtons... Mmmm.

Nels_ I'm jealous. Pancakes for dinner? I hope they weren't the savoury kind? Hubby giggled at me last night cause I raided the pantry and got hold of half a pack of super cheesy "NikNaks" mmmmm (which I wanted to swallow down with 2 spoons full of Nutella and grapefruit juice  but ended up not doing) Was promised some cake over the weekend though! Have you ever thought of trying one of those ideas that are supposed to induce baby sooner? The curry-myth or the castor oil... ?

StarryEyed_ How are you today? Stay strong woman! You can DO IT!

PS: I've got a feint idea that they're having a baby shower for me here at work today... nice.

Hi Ladies,

StarrEyed - Oh, no....I am so so sorry to hear you are back in hospital!!

I also can only imagine how tough this must be for you and your hubby!! Seeing everyone healthy with their babies, while you worry and feel frustrated by your situation. My heart really goes out to you and you will be regularly in my thoughts and prayers. I can totally understand that you feel burnt out, you have done so well so far and every person has a limit where things just get too much. I can only imagine the sense of loss you are experiencing, the loss of the way you imagined your first pregnancy would be. I am so relieved to hear that your mom will be coming to help you, but feel your pain with your in-laws...
Please try and be as nurturing as you can of yourself and remind yourself that you are doing amazing under the circumstances, although I know you are heart broken at the moment. I trust that you will get past this difficult stage and that soon you will be able to chat with other moms about sleep deprivation and teething issues, like everyone else. Big hugs to you!!!

Nels - All our friends also have great support with grandparents around and it is difficult to hear how they have weekly date nights where kids sleep over once a week. I totally hear you, but as you have said, there is not much that one can do about it except accept it and count your blessings in other areas of your life.

I hear you about waking up to pee! Perhaps if we stop drinking any fluids after 5 pm and drink all our fluids before that it will help? Once I got up to go to the loo I really battle to fall asleep again and sometimes don't...So close now!!!

Thinking of all of you lovely ladies on this thread. xx

Hello ladies! Ive been a bit busy lately!

Sooooo i had a midwife app yesterday and she seems to think we wont see the end of march before baby is born ;) she is extremely low and all that seems to be holding her back is that my hips/pelvis is out of allignment and her shoulder is a bit stuck. Going for a chiro app tomorrow and then seeing the midwife again tues. I am quite ready for her to come ♡

Granny only coming next month so we will have our pastors wife come over to stay with LB when its time. Worked out a whole list of activities for him which he is excited about so i think it will all be okay.

Will update again after chiro. So looking forward to having this pelvic pain released!

Hey Ladies

Even though I am scarce, I really love reading your posts... They get sent to my cell via email. It is so funny... We are also in the same boat with family. My parents live in Botswana and even though my hubby's parents live just down the road... How did Nels_n put it... I would not leave my dog with them.... That is the perfect description. The sad part is that they are so selfish, they would not even offer to babysit etc... It is an inconvenience for them... Interferes with their lives. I am however very lucky because my mom is taking a month off work to come down and help after the baby is here... So at least I will have her. It's our first baby so my parents are very excited... Wish they lived closer.

Nels_n that is so exciting!! Keep us posted if you can! I really hope it is labour! I am uncomfortable at 34 weeks so I can only imagine what it feels like at 39 weeks

My mom bought me a belly binder for me... On the packet it says natural or c section... I am going to use it because the sister that did our antenatal classes said you can hurt yourself if you do too much too soon... And the binder helps prevent that. Your muscles in your tummy still separate down the middle when you have natural so it helps those muscles stitch back together.

As far as stem cells are concerned... We have looked at it but right now our medical bills are too high so we don't have the money for it anyway.

I have landed myself back in hospital... This time my little one has not put on weight in three weeks... They do not know why. He also has an enlarged heart but the doc said he is not too concerned about that at the moment... He says you see it often when there is an infection. So right now they are testing to see where the infection is and what it is. Hopefully they find something because all the other tests including my amniotic fluid levels... Were all normal. It is extremely frustrating! This hospital stay is made even more difficult by the fact that the maternity ward is crazy busy... So we have mommies and healthy babies in with us. Very hard to see that when you are having problems. I spent most of the morning crying my eyes out. Very emotional... I just want to be one of those mommies but I am stuck in this endless nightmare. I survived 9 weeks of bed rest with more positivity than sadness... But I am now emotionally tapped out!

23Aug2014 - First positive test of my first pregnancy (4weeks & 3 days) :)
