Hi ladies!

Nels, i still havent bought a single thing! I will wait and see whst the babyshower brings and then buy to my hearts delight after that ;)

Gloei, my legs are giving the same problem. Its terrible! The closest explwnation i could get thus far is restless legs syndrome, but i honestly dont know. Its VERY uncomfortable.

Also, so sorry for tmi, but i get hectic braxton hicks after sex. Last night has been the worst so far. It was soooo sore that i almost started to panic. Luckilly eased a bit after listening to my relaxatn cd (by the wsy, gloei, i bough the Being in Him relaxation cd, and i love it)
But seriously, if its this painful so long before the actual birth... ai. I had forgotten all about how sore it was the first time. Hoping to use the cd to work my eay through these ones as practice for real labour.

Hope you are all doing very well!!

Hi Ladies,

Nels, All is well with me and baby, except the few normal expected pains and aches. I am enjoying the second trimester and wish it could last a bit longer...Headaches and migraines are down to a minimum - yeah!
It is amazing to feel the baby so regularly, it almost feels as if she is already here! My LG is singing and talking to her all the time. I am wearing my mexican bola I won here on Moomie and love the chiming on my belly (hope baby likes it too.)

I am still busy organising the house and sorting out stuff - don't know how it got to this point, but it is scary! I am starting work on the 5th and have not gotten around to do about 60% of the stuff around the house. So it is going to be a busy next few months still.

I have slipped up a bit on my pilates routine and have fallen behind a bit, although I try to do as much walking possible. I am trying to do my relaxation Hypnobirthing as regularly as possible and enjoy it a lot.

Anyone else having cramps at night (early morning)? I had them with my LG as well and they are quite unpleasant. I am also battling certain nights with just very painfull dull aching legs to the point where it is difficult to sleep. mmmm....part of the process I guess.

Wishing you all a wonderful new year and hope to hear from everyone when you are all back and online again! xx

Hey Everyone

Nels_n: Thanks for the suggestion, I have actually found that peppermint helps a lot! I have sugar free gum stashed in places all over the house. It keeps the nausea down to a minimum. I hope your energy levels are good for the holidays. I know I have good days and bad days energy-wise. Re-decorating your guest bedroom for your kids will be fun. :)

Gloie: That is so lovely!! I am sure your little girl is going to love her room. Please post some pictures!! :)

Newbiemom: Congratulations!! That is so exciting!! A beautiful little girl. I have also picked up weight  I was already about 5kgs over weight to begin with and now I have put on another 5... eish its going to be tough afterwards! Hopefully I will be able to breast feed to help shed the kilos!

Faffymom: So glad your 20 week scan went well!! We have ours on Tuesday... so excited! We are also not doing a nursery before the baby arrives, we need to do some renovations so baby will be in our room for a while... maybe a year. We are both excited about that though, my hubby likes the idea of having the baby close by. He is already so protective.

So... what have I been up to?? Well I went for a checkup with the doc and he said... after 20 weeks of hiding... he thinks he saw boy bits in between our baby's legs :) Then on Tuesday we went to our 4D scan and the technician said she thinks its a boy as well! I have attached two ultrasound photos... let me know what you think... It just looks like a blur to me haha so I am having a hard time believing them ;) I guess if the lady at our 20 week scan also says its a boy then I will have to believe it haha! In the photos, the legs and "willy" are on the left.

23Aug2014 - First positive test of my first pregnancy (4weeks & 3 days) :)

Morning ladies

How are you keeping up?
newbiemom@yayyyy congratulations. That's exciting news.
Gloie@ I can imagine helping makeover a bedroom and being preggies. I applaud you. Can't wait to see the pics.
Faffymom@how are you doing?
starreyed@ how is the nausea? Have you taken anything yet? My midwife suggested I buy mint oil from the health shop (The Soil brand as its organic)and inhale it when nausea kicks in, it hasn't worked for me but maybe it can work for you. Give it a try. I ended up using it for my sons sinuses and it helped.

I am not doing a nursery either but thinking of swapping the guest room (which is way bigger) and my sons room(smaller) around because when the baby is big enough they will share bedrooms and in the guests room I can do alot in it deco wise and enough space for playing too. The baby will also sleep in our room for a few months (hopefully he doesn't hate hit cot like his brother).
the holidays have started and it seems the next seven weeks will be filled with activities to do and I will need as much energy as possible.
enjoy your day ladies

Hi ladies!

Faffymum - So glad the scan went well and you enjoyed it!
We are also having baby in our room for the first couple of months/1st year, since we don't have any other space! Our first girl also shared our bedroom for the first 8 months and it was really fine, in fact I liked to be so close to my baby. However we just revamped my Little girls room to make her feel special and that all the focus is not on the baby. Will post pictures when we are done, but it is looking absolutely stunning if I may say so myself. My poor husband worked his arse off painting walls and ceiling and repainting old furniture. Needless to say I am feeling slightly on the tired side since I was helping as much as I can with all the painting etc. My LG seems to love it!! Yeah!

Newbiemom - Its a girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sweet. Congratulations!
Are they certain??!
Same happened with my first pregnancy, once the nausea stopped...I couldn't stop eating. I am surprised I have only picked up 2 kilos by now, but then again I weighed 3 kilos more compared to my first pregnancy's starting weight. I guess as long as mother and baby is doing well the amount isn't that crucial that you pick up? Taking in mind that one is eating healthy food...he he he.

Otherwise I am doing well, baby is super busy but I am enjoying it all!!

Keep well ladies. xx
