Hi Ladies :)

Sorry I've been so quiet, I've been playing catchup at work - mostly with meetings - since being away last week and with this being a short week. It's been a great couple of weeks though. Had a great, relaxing babymoon with DH and felt very rested when we returned on Friday. Then Sunday was my babyshower! Got so many things my list of what I still need has significantly shortened  Then Monday was my birthday (happy belated to Stella and Ctelly - how weird that 3 of us due the same month are born all in a row! :silly: Also had my checkup on Monday, and all is going well - I now start checkups every 2nd week (next one is on 1 July). Fortunately with the midwife it's only R160 at a time - I still have one gynae visit at 36 weeks which costs R800-R1350, depending on whether I get a scan or not!

Sorry so many of you/your kids haven't been well - this changing of season stuff is no fun! Hope everyone's feeling better now.

hi ladies,

thanx so much. had some mixed feeling about the weekend, but really enjoyed a very relaxed and casual birthday.
i am still sick and not feeling better. think i will se a dr tomorrow.
and then G also had a hectic teething weekend and still has a fever every now and then.

Meags, your shower pics looks so nice.

Bellyh, the gynies do that as a precausion at the end, but if you do not have a hight risk pregnancy, it is really not neccessary to go every week.
my gynie want to see me every 3 weeks and then every 2 weeks from 36 weeks. but i'm going next week on 33 weeks, and then i will only schedule one more appointment eithe at 36 or 37 weeks.

glad you enjoyed your birthday Ctelly.

Glad your lg is better Kiara.

enjoy the evening ladies

Thanks bellyhearts.. I spoke to our HR.. but they are so slow.. I only have 6 weeks left at work and haven't even seen anything confirming my leave.. will follow up again next week. my manager also haven't arranged for an intern in my absence.. and he'll be away for the whole of July.. which only leaves next week to arrange.. haha.. luckily its not my problem.

thanks for the tip Kel.
hope you all have a great evening.. I just want to sleep..cant keep my eyes open.

Ctelly, I think you need to speak to someone at work who will be able to assist you regarding UIF. I won't be claiming as I'll be working from home, so have no idea what steps you need to follow.

Kiara, glad to hear your lg is feeling better and what a relief it isn't swine flu! Glad to hear you managed to keep healthy, seems like a challenge lately, everyone at work is sick!

Hi ladies,

I hope you all had a great holiday yesterday.

Wow you're all organised! I only know when my next appointment is at the appointment. My next one is on the 29th, for the Netcare complementary 4D scan. I can't wait.

Kel, how is your tooth/throat feeling? I can only imagine how sore it must be.

Stella, feeling better? And happy belated birthday! Did you do anything special or just played it cool for the day?

CTelly, sounds like your hubby deserves a trophy for having the gift ready for you to open  ! Mine constantly forgets... Happy belated birthday

Prenessa, sounds like you had an awesome shower! Did you get loads of stuff?

BellyHearts, how are the cramps? Have you figured out what they might be? Enjoy your babymoon next week!

Meags, glad your son is feeling better. Your shower looks great. And you're getting a second one, you lucky fish!

My LG is recovering. She had a very high fever which took a while to get under control, but she's on the mend. We got such a fright because the school said they had cases of swine flu, but her diagnosis was just a normal flu. I as sooo relived. My doctor asked me to sty away from her while she's sick cause I'm preggo. I was like: "Really? How? I'm her MOTHER"... I took necessary precaution and didn't get the flu at all...
