Hallo Ladies,
Just quickly popping in. Kiara don't worry too much about other people's opinions.. I know its easier said than done but at the end of the day everyone's circumstances are different. As long as you are content with you decisions and know its the best per situation. I'm sure your kids love you so much that they would probably miss you but won't hold it against you. Hope you feel emotionally better soon.

I'm going for my 32week check up tomorrow and dr said we'll book by bed.. I'm now finalising my birth plan. I saw there's a big special on take a lot on nr5 nappies. Go and have a look if you're in the market for that

Kiara, don't let those insensitive dolts upset you.
Sometimes I can't believe that people can be so ignorant. Some mom's just plain can't afford to stay at home, or have other reasons for pursuing a career. None of that means that you're a bad mother!
Sometimes being a working mum makes you a better mother. (My opinion anyway). I've found that having a mum that works, whether at a company or at home, instills a sense of responsibility and independence in the children.
I'm of the opinion that it teaches them to respect money, and hard work too.

Sorry for the rant, but you know, I'd rather have a strong, independent child, that knows what she wants and knows how to work hard to achieve it, than a spoilt brat who's used to having everything handed to her on a plate!

Kiara, to your kids you're the best mom in the world! Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise!

What makes me feel worse are the sty-at-home-moms making very insensitive comments. One of my daughter's friend's mom asked me: "Is your career really worth you missing out on your kids' most important moments?" That hurt soooo badly.

I know how it feels, with my 2 older girls living with their dad I missed out on alot of things like this. I tried my best to be there when they were still living nearby, but after they moved it's been alot harder. 2 hours drive there and 2 hours back is just sometimes not possible to make. And tho they're disappointed, at least they understand and know that I'm always thinking of them.

Ordered me a cute little dress especially for the 7th. Can't wait till it arrives.
I spent the last 2 nights digging through my cupboard trying to find something, anything, that still fits for a special occassion, and came up with nothing! sigh..
So Google became my friend once more. hehe
I found a cute silvery gray maternity dress, that's not too fancy and not too casual, added in a pair of black leggings (it is winter after all!) and a cardigan, and voila!
I'm so excited and counting down the days!
Can't wait for my appointment next week, but after having to postpone the big wedding we had planned seeing as baby is due a week or 2 before the big date, I'm super excited to marry my DF and best friend at last.
He's making all the arrangements for the day, planning everything, all I needed to do was find something to wear.

Stella, so sorry you're still not feeling well. I hope you feel better soon. Hopefully your gynae can recommend something for the flu? Have you tried Oscillococcinum. It's homeopathic and safe during pregnancy and you can find it at Dischem.

Wide-eyed, the gifts are so cute! Your dh must have been happy...

I took dh and the girls out for lunch on Sunday at a really awesome venue and they seem to have enjoyed it very much. I was honestly too tired to go looking for a gift.

Today both my girls are performing at school. The older one is singing in the choir and the smaller one is performing in her very first ballet recital. I feel like such a bad mom cause I'll be working instead of supporting them. DH promised to send me lots of pictures and videos but it's not the same. But I still fee horrid!!!
