Hi girls

Hope you don't mind me joining in the discussion. Been too scared to join a pregnancy group up till now, but here goes nothing! Glad to have someone to talk about who is in the same shoes as me :)

Anyone else have to go for Down Syndrome screening between weeks 10 and 14? Apparently it's a normal time, but everyone else I know tells me they went at 20+ weeks...does anyone have an idea why my doc wants me to go now? Just wondering...

Anywho, have a good day, girls, and looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

Betti

My doctor charges more for the first scan, 20 week scan and 32 week scan. Those are R1750 each. The rest are R730 each. Must add that she does normal scan and 4d scan every single time, plus gives you to the photos on a disc. My medical aid covers about R390 of each of those visits, so quite a lot to cover out-of-pocket. But totally worth it, she's an awesome doc!

Hi ladies

We went for our first appointment last week, I am very happy with my Gyn DR Dlakavu at the genesis clinic in Jhb. I loved the place and hope to be giving birth there. We finally saw the little one for the very first time AMAZING, the heartbeat was very clear and DR was pleased with how things r going so far. Our next appointment will be on the 12 of March and I will be 13 weeks can't wait to see the bby wish I could see the baby everyday,

My gyn charges R1500 per consultation how much do u ladies pay? Oh and she said I will only see her for my 12 week, 20 week and 36 week scan then I must start seeing the midwife at 24 weeks, I think 24 weeks is too far to see the midwife what do u guys think
