i know. but you will make it Im sure! get back to the basics, start dating each other again, you will see a difference. :heart:

ps. been there, I too wanted to give up on my marriage 6 years ago. it is hard work to hang in there I know. but the secret lies with getting to know each other again, and to get back to basics. maybe go see a counsellor?

Hi girls.

Sorry for jumping in here like this.

But I needed to share this.

@Kamogelo20,

I get where youre coming from. I am 22 weeks (tomorrow) with my 3rd baby. We were ttcing on and off for almost 3 years. I got excited month after month, but gave up middle last year.

I got sick end September, went for a gastroscopy, anastetics a whole lot of meds for gastritis etc. i still felt horrible, dh suggested I buy a hpt. reluctantly i did, and it tested positive... I mean, I never like in NEVER got a bfp with my two other on a hpt. I didnt believe in these things. but there I sat, bfp and wanting to cry suddenly feeling I didnt want this. not now, not 6 years after my last born. Im almost 33, I got used to sleeping through most nights, I got used to not having to baby my boys anymore, they feed themselves, they bath themselves, they do most stuff for themselves. There i sat, depro, not wanting this.

Now at almost 22 weeks, I feel this little guy move and kick, altho at times I still question the fact that Im gonna have another baby in June because its still so surreal at times, Im starting to look forward to gynae visits, I look forward to having my 4d and seeing this little boy who is jumping on my bladder and kicking me in my ribs. Im starting to day dream about having a little busy body again. but Im scared at times aswel.

So this I wanna tell you, no matter how unsecure you feel now, theres just this thing inside each and everyone of us wanting to nurture a little one, and that feeling might take time to develop. But once you felt movement, seen a heartbeat, you will know in your heart, that this was not an unwanted thing, you love that little one so dearly, you would do anything to protect him/her.

I wish you goodluck, and a happy pregnancy! Youll do just great!! :heart:

@Tanzie,

I have been following your posts for a few days now. Youre stronger than you think, and you and your DH will get through this. just give it time, but dont give up on each other, you need each other now more than you will think or want to think. I will be keeping you in my thoughts. :heart: just dont give up !!

Dear Kamogelo20

Welcome!! i just want to share with you my thoughts and a little of my history in the hope that you feel a bit better!

I fell pregnant in 2013. Found out in july 2013. i had stopped the pill in april that year after being on it for bout 14 years or so. I stopped the pill because i always thought that i would need a few months for it to wash out my system and also because i was SOOO incredibly busy at work i did not have time to buy it.
fas forward 3 months i was pregnant and completely Gob smacked!!!! took 3 days off work to let it sink in. I was miserable all the time in the first 3 months. hormones were all over the place, battled with morning sickness, i nevr felt good about myself until about 4 and half months preg. unfort at 20 weeks, the sonographer picked up the heart condition. fast forward 3 days later , i was in hospital aborting the preg as i really had no choice... the baby would NEVER survive... i was in labour for 10 hours. 4 shots of morphine, 2 pethadene and still rolled in pain non stop until i delivered a 20 week beautiful baby girl!!

3 months later i fell preg again only to miscarry at 7 weeks due to it being a blyted ovum.
i cant tell you how crazy i went every month buying home preg tests. i probably spent about R4000 or much more... not exaggerating. it cud be more. i was in the gynae's rooms very often because after that the stress and anxiety grew and i was not getting my period and was constantly going on meds etc. fast forward december 2014 on christmas eve i found out i am preg and now currently 10 weeks

the point of my story is not to gain pity but i was in your shoes... not knowing how to feel. happy sad overwhlemed scared and everythng possible other than being grateful for that blessing. Dont beat yourself up. it will come. give yourself time...
it is an incredibly overwhelming feeling and alot to take in...
You have been blessed with a gift from God! a precious gift that so many woman struggle for...
take some time out to let it sink in and to accept and embrace it! you will be a beautiful Mum!

Goodluck and an abundance of blessings...

Hello Mommies

For the past week I have been going through your posts and I must say its amazing that women can come together and share their stories.

Saturday I got my confirmation that I had been accepted to the blog and ever since I have been trying to think what my first post will be.

Ok here goes I am going to be 25 on the 20 of Feb and found out I was pregnant I think about a month ago cause I am a person that always keeps track of my dates. I got traditionally married to my lovely husband last December and for a while he had been talking about us having a baby and my respond always would be can we wait a year or two cause I always felt that I am not ready even though the thought of having a baby always crossed my mind. I guess I was and still am too scared.

So the day we took the pregnancy test I swear when I saw those two lines, I felt like the earth could just open up and swallow me. I shook and just could not believe it. I am sure you wondering if I didn't want to get pregnant then why didn't I use the necessary precautions. Thing is I got very sick during December an the doctor pumped me up with a lot of antibiotics and I was on the pill. so I guess somewhere between that period the fastest sperm decided to run the fastest race and won hahahaha. Anyway I am going to be 8weeks on Thursday and daily I still battle with coming to terms that I am going to be a mother. A part of me is happy and a part of me is stressing about everything. Vising this blog and reading the different stories from different women I realized that I should count my blessings. There are many women who struggle to bare kids and yet I am here going through what's said to be the most wonderful experience in a women's life yet I feel I don't appreciate it. I ask myself is it because it took me by surprise or what?

I just thought I would share my story with you guys and I hope as time goes by I will let go of my fears and appreciate this gift that GOD has given me.

I am due 21 September 2015. any other mommies sharing the date with me? oooh I also want to say I am very proud of you ladies each and every single one of you inspire me to be a great mommie and I wish all of you the best. :)
