I did my catch up on all the posts on Sunday night, but I was busy with varsity work yesterday (and couldn't get a decent wifi connection on campus). I hope everyone is well, glad you're feeling better Juanita and good luck for the in-law invasion. Got an email yesterday to say that all my blood tests results were normal from last week.

I had a lovely babymoon in Hogsback. Nice, tranquil and relaxing! Although DH and I did a little hiking, which was a bit of a strain, particularly coming back up a rather steep (but short) trail to see the Madonna and Child falls. I was breathing super heavily! Totally broke the "must be able to maintain a conversation while exercising" rule, but Elle let me know she was ok a little later on.

The food at the hotel was fantastic, suppers were 3 courses with soup and the breakfasts were full (eggs, bacon, sausage, etc to order and cereals, cold meats, cheeses, fruits, yoghurts, jams, etc to add from the buffet table). Sadly no snow, although we could see some on top of one of the mountains, but the experience of the beautiful, unspoilt area was good enough.

The Johnson's Baby Sense seminar was really good! We just attended the morning session. Unfortunately we weren't fortunate enough to win any of the lucky draw prizes, but the goody bags were worth it!

We got all of this x2 since DH and I went together. He initially didn't take his goody bag (didn't know that he should) and we went back to fetch it. There were also some Carriwell maternity pads and disposable panties. The Medela steriliser bag has some breast pads and a little lanolin sample inside it. The vouchers are for Takealot (R50 off R250) and the Baby City is R30 off R200 purchase (not for use against purchase of nappies, baby toiletries). You can also get a R500 Baby City voucher when you sign up with Netcells, but at R17k I don't see that being an affordable option for us (even with discount from Discovery). There is a Tommee Tippee dummy, an orthodontically correct honey dummy, latex and silicone teats, dummy clip, etc... We were also lucky enough to get a NUK dummy at antenatal class last night so my LG will have a choice of which dummy (if any) that she wants (daddy does not want her to use the honey dummies!).

My Dischem bag also arrived yesterday. Similar goodies (not that it matters, it will all be used!) along with some saline nose drops, a glass feeding bottle, a few nappies, hand steriliser, etc.

It also sounds like things are moving along for the baby shower, so at least that's one less stress!

All good on my side, not much news. Looking forward to the long weekend. My inlaws coming for a visit so the house will be FULL of people, which i love and since i still have the energy to deal with it, i say, bring it on They just need to be carefull or i will give them each a paint brush to start painting baby's room

Had a bit of a cold over the weekend but seems to be clearing up now, and now Leandi said last night that shes not feeling well and sounds a bit snotty Will have to self medicate and hope she gets better before her cousin comes to visit.

It's due to an infection... I keep getting bladder infection and it's brought on by all the stress. She wants to do the Glucose Screening as well to rule out Gestational Diabetes.

Have noticed a definite wake/sleep pattern in Larisss this past week. It serms she always wants to play @ 9pm... She'll kick, then I have to tap. And she gets angry if I don't want to play So adorable!

Oh yes - at yesterday's appointment I again had blood in my urine... she wants to keep monitoring it and also wants me to go for a glucose test for gestational diabetes... All this stress is obviously having an effect on me.

Hahaha LM those duck walks i go through them, sometimes this peeing business just gets too much and you dread going to the loo

Eating, ive realised i dont eat as much too, and i get full quickly, but i still wake up to eat in the wee hours
