Louise, i would say swop it for the bp. if you find that you really still need one afterwards you always have the option to go buy one. but at this stage you might need the bp more??

went for my 4d yesterday, was so cool!! got some cute photies, even though she had her hands infront of her face most of the time. I dont think one can rely on the photos to determine what baby will look like as when you meet them its totally different!!! The lady did say that she has a different nose than my daughter has and that she is definitely going to be a petite baby like Leandi (2.6kg at birth).

Other than that, all good on this side, ordered all the furniture!! Will be here in 5 weeks, so now just holding thumbs our upstairs floors will be all finished by then

Thank you ladies for your compliments, if I tell you I had the worst day after that, was told by a lady at work if I carry on eating the way Im eating I will be fat! Thankfully Im over it now!

Regarding the sterilizer, you already have the dishwasher and the microwave and you say you like Miltons so I would exchange the electric sterilizer, although im a HUGE believer in not exposing my baby to too many microwave waves etc (old school mind lol). I have an electric sterilizer and I will most definitely be using it again! I just loved it, however with all this loadshedding ill have to make sure I work around it all - URGH!!!

I need advice...

I have the new Tommee Tippee electric steam sterilizer.
Over the weekend I saw that the Tommee Tippee Electric Breast Pump and the Sterilizer is priced at the same price...

I need a breast pump and will also be using the TT range of bottles.

My thing is - should I go and swop my sterilizer for the breast pump?

I upgraded to a new dishwasher December and the dishwasher has a function for baby bottles. I also have the microwave sterilizer... So I guess it's pointless having 3 products to do the same job?

With Elmarise I didn't use my microwave sterilizer that much as well - I'm more a Milton freak...

I will see after the maternity tour which room to go for. But i also dont think DH should stay with me. He just started a new job so it wont be easy for him to be at the hospital for long, plus LG will need someone to look after her..GUys, i am so excited, in no time we will meet our babies..

Even i dont think its necessary for hubby to lodge with me this time around he will probably come after dropping off baby at pre school or whatever and there is still work and pick up, and am not sure if i want my lb to come to the hospital until they come pick me to come home , i jsut feel he will cry when they leave me there??

Kimmy, private rooms are awesome! I had a private room with my first - and DHlodged with me the whole stay, which meant our LG was able to stay with us the entire time from birth.

This time around the hospital I'm going to only offers private rooms as they ate a maternity hospital.

Private room in my opinion just give you that freedom to bond with your newborn without interruption... and I would crack if it wasn't for the en-suite bathroom!

I just don't think it's the best thing for DH to lodge with me this time... Our LG is going to need a lot of attention and reasasurance once Little Sister is here, and I don't feel it's fair on her to be dumped at ouma & oupa... but we'll talk to her and hear what she says/how she feels closer to the time.

I've enclosed a picture of Larissa's coming-home outfit. Keep in mind that this is for end of November and it will be HOT!

We made the mistake with Elmarise by dressing her to warm (also a November baby) and she got a nasty heat rash... If the weather feels nippy I'll rather cover her with a receiving blanket.

Got my 1st appointment tomorrow with my new gynae at the hospital we're going to. My previous gynae was based at another hospital and we refused to have our baby there. So it eventually just became an issue and I decided to make the move.

It will also be the first time we visit the hospital, so we're really excited!!!

A friend of mine brought me her travel system over the weekend... it's not at all the type I was looking for, but it's in excellent condition and brand new. Her don just never took to it. It's a kind of Chelino...not sure which one?

So in the mean time it will work... till we decide if we want to buy or own or rather just invest in a decent stroller. With my daughter she outgrew her travel system car seat within the first 2 months and I had to invest in a group 0/1 convertable car seat (rear & forward facing). So we only used the travel system gor 2 months. After that I got her a stunning pink stroller which was much morevonvenient for me. So now the travel system has me thinking if it's really worth it... besides - we have this one we can use now and it's under 2 years old and in immaculate condition!
