Oh no Pillpusher, although I agree with your husband! You guys should just make a date considering it's her second and she should work around yours. Put the ball in their court and at least settle on your date ;)

Well, it looks like my stork party is getting political :( My mom doesn't want to settle on a date because of the family friend that's due on the same day. But whoever is organising her shower hasn't given a date, so in my opinion that means it's wide open and I feel that especially since this is my first baby and her second, my organizers should just pick a date and be done with it. DH is fed up because he doesn't feel like we should be dancing to someone else's drum even if they are friends.

Sharmini, on the cozicot... shop around first. The one I have is the one where the side comes off. It's made of beachwood. The thing is - you have to take off the front panel - they dont have one where the panel just clips down.

When assembling my cozicot, one of the panels "puzzle" grip (how they slot into eachother), immediately broke off. In my opinion, very flimsy for R6500.

If I knew, I would rather opt for one if the more solid wooden ones.

You can browse on their website or their online catalogue. I'll also share pictures with you of mine.

I saw a website the other day that actually makes duplicate cozicots @ R3500. Maybe google co-sleeper?

Thanks a bunch. I'm also in Pretoria so will definitely have a look at CoziCot. Was just chatting to some friends of mine who are new mums themselves and they say that the cot with the option to lower the side rail is a better one because it can be used for much longer as the baby gets bigger.

Also, space is a factor in my home so I'll need to look for something that's functional as well as a spacesaver.

Hi Sharmini

I got my co-sleeper from CoziCot. Not sure where you're based, but they are in Pretoria. Mine has the option to be a complete cot or if I take off the front panel, it fits level next to my bed. You can just google them...

I saw the other day that Graco or Chicco also brought out a co-sleeper...

And looking at all these posts I've just realised how horrendously unprepared I am for my baby's arrival in Oct/Nov!

Does anyone know where I can buy a co-sleeper cot from? The ones that attach to the bed maybe? I prefer the idea of having my LG close by.
