@Lauz - I hope that you'll be taking it easy though. If you have a turn for the worse, rather go back to the doctor! It's very scary that that happened, must be so traumatic for the children and father.
@Candypops and Kimmy - it's like the worrying never stops! When I fell pregnant, I was worried about M/C especially since my SIL had one last year (and then fell pregnant again immediately after to have my healthy nephew in March). Then I was worried about DS. Then I would wait for every scan to make sure my LO was still with me. Now that I can feel her, I don't worry as much, but every so often fear creeps in

Like how I've heard of or know two people that had a loss at 5 months, so I just wanted to get past 5 months. Then another lady on FB had spoken about a loss at 25 weeks so wanted to get past 25 weeks. Yesterday I decided to read up about still birth and saw that there are certain risk factors, but for many cases the causes are unknown

The risk is about as high as the average incidence of DS (1 in every 200 births). I suppose when you think about it, the odds are still in your favour if you consider that 1 in 4 pregnancies ends in M/C in the early stages, but sjoe... I had to stop myself and just pray, my "go to" every time I've been stressed out is that verse about not worrying about anything and praying about everything.
The angelcare monitor is on my list. It's R1450 at Baby City. I'm hoping it comes on a Takealot daily deal within the next month or so 'cause they also stock it. There are a lot of factors with SIDS too, like lower incidence in B/F babies and babies sleeping in the same room as parents, baby falling asleep with a dummy in... Yes, I read up on that too!
The worrying doesn't stop and there's always someone with a sad story. So I guess the only way through is to have faith and enjoy the highs.
