Please follow up with Vitality on your other vouchers. I had a helluva fight with both Babies/Toys R Us as well as Vitality, because all my vouchers, including the R100 gift card was taken out of my bag, whilst another mommie on the Forum (Lauz.Mayer) on the same day as me, recived her vouchers and gift card from a different store...

Vitality then confirmed that I should have infact, received my vouchers and that Babies/Toys R Us took the vouchers wrongfully.

As for the sinus headaches - I had the same thing a few weeks ago. Dr said I was able to use ACC200 (the original and not the generic) as well as Allergex. In my first pregnancy when I suffered from terrible ligament spasms, my gynae prescribed me some sort of Buscopan pills - but it's not the normal Buscopan - it was a stronger dosage and instead of the small white tablet it was a big white sugar coated tablet, about the size of a panado (but just more rounded). She said that I could take that during pregnancy (from my 2nd trimester) for any serious pain. PillPusher - do you maybe know the exact name of the pill? It's Buscopan with something behind the buscopan name... Maybe you can advise here?

You're also going to laugh now at my recommendation... When I had that terrible headaches, nothing helped - and I mean one can only take so much panado at a time. I suffer from terrible migraine normally, and was always advised to stay clear of caffeine as it can trigger migraine.

This time around on various pregnancy sites, I was advised of the opposite...

Take 2 panados with a shot of espresso (and not the decaf type!).

I was desperate as I was about to pass out from the pain. And I promise you - within 20 minutes my headache was GONE! It's been just over 4 weeks now and I have not had one headache.

Another thing you can try is Illiadin nose spray - but just bare in mind you can only use it fro a duration of 10 days... after 10 days, it will have no effect whatsoever...my experience.

Have you taken anything for the sinus? You can take an antihistamine like allergex/texa/clarityne to help clear your sinuses or some sinupret.

Steaming can also help to clear the nasal passages. Nasal sprays like Iliadin/ENT drops/Otrivin are also safe, but don't use them for longer than a week or you might become dependent on them.

Oh yes, another tip was to put a linen saver in your own bed from 36 weeks in case your water breaks in your sleep like you described LouiseMarie. Midwife said often dad forget about it in the rush and when they're home their side of the bed is dry anyway and you might only remember the issue when you get home and by then you won't get the smell out of the mattress

Powerade/energade
Sweets - super Cs, gummy sweets, jelly beans.

Just realised that my inny belly button is fast becoming an outy. I was pushing my belly ring (took out at about 17 weeks) through to keep the piercing hole open and realised that the opening that's supposed to be inside the upper wall of my belly button is now outside of it. And I'm keeping the piercing open because I think it's pretty with my belly dancing and I'm hoping to somewhat resemble my previous shape after pregnancy.

Lol... my water broke in my sleep. When I woke up I was already in 2nd stage of labour with my contractions 8 min apart. Half an hour later at hospital I was 5min apart...

It's the norm to give steroids before 38weeks as far as I know. If I can prevent it, I rather would. It can't be healthy to force an organ into "working", if it's not yet "ready". But if it's an emergency - for sure!!!!

I'll speak to my new gynae at my next appointment and find out what she thinks.

@Pillpusher that is such great news regarding your job. What a relief!!!

@louiseM if I had to have a csection I would want it exactly like how yours happened initially although I'm a firm believer things happen for a reason and that why I had natural as my waters only broke after baby was born so I wouldn't have known I was going into labour, until the contractions kicked in lol.

I had a friend who recently had a scheduled csection she told me at 37 weeks she had two shots of steroids to assist babies lungs from developing quicker. Not too sure if that's the norm or not.

Hey Ladies, to all those that said thanks, it's only a pleasure I hope I didn't scare anyone off it though. If I did please remember that everyone's birthing experience is different, If I think back to mine I can't help but laugh, although at the time it was no laughing matter.

Regarding bottles I had NUK. My little one took to it better than my breast and she was only 2.5kg. We have never had a leaking issue and personal opinion I love that they not so round and bulky and they fit perfectly into my coffee cups for warming up saving us money on a bottle warmer!

The only big thing I'll definitely be considering is a monitor I had an avent one - I think it was an avent and got it on groupon back in the day so it will be our one big buy.
