Hi Kimmy!

My due date is currently 28 November.
C-Sec was scheduled for the 19 November, but I have since my last appointment decided to change gynaes...

My current gynae only does theatre on Thursday's and baba is due on a Saturday (28th). She doesn't want to wait till Thursday the 26th, and so also wants to do it at 38 weeks on the 19th.

I'm more nervous going for the "scheduled" c-sec. With my daughter when my water broke @ 37 weeks, and I was already in active birth, there was NO time to stress or to be scared... everything happened so fast.

Now I will be "mentally alert" about everything...

I'm thinking of asking my new gynae if we can rather wait for me to go into natural labour when doing the c-sec, as she is much more acceptable of the mom's needs and whishes'.

This will then also assist in me being able to breastfeed on demand, as the "milk coming in" hormones get released during labour.

It also helps that the hospital is 1.2km from our home! So there's no room for error.

Hahahahaha, with the way I just wanted to walked with my first - I'll most probably just walk myself to the hospital and meet hubby there!

@Lauz.mayer. Thanks for being so honest! Everyone I know sugar coats things so you don't really know what to expect. I definitely want to try my hardest to go natural as I struggle to cope in theatre.

@ louisemarie..i feel the same way too about stitching but dont have a problem with the cut!!
When is your c section sheduled for? My gynae said for me will look at maybe 38 weeks but i dont know how i feel about that, i think its a bit early but now this babies coming before time scare me.

Hahahahaha... sweetie - even with me having a c-sec just the thought of sex made me cringe!

Hell, I had this image in my head that everything inside would tear open if I even just tried to flex my stomach muscles a bit - I was even petrified of having to go for a #2!!!!!!

Hahahahahaha... then of course you get the total opposite! A previous colleague of mine also had a c-sec...went for her 8 week follow-up and was 6 weeks pregnant AGAIN!!!

Lol LouiseM I've also heard you can have those options but trust me after having the episiotomy sex isn't on the card for a while - well in my head it wasn't and when we eventually did, I think it was 3 months after birth I nearly died! It was unbelievably uncomfortable and let me be straight up here it's as if I was having my first sexual intercourse again. It's not like everyone thinks where you land up stretching and now you large inside and out, it all goes back to its usual self and sex is still as amazing as ever.

Oh yes - I completely forgot!

I came across this new stroller over the weekend... Unfortunately it's only a stroller and not a travel system, but I think it is SOOOOO nifty!

In my opinion it's just way overpriced @ R3500 for a stroller...and then it's not even a "fancy name" brand

Maybe it will be cheaper by the time our little ones are born

It's so weird... I'm sitting here cringing at the thought of "tearing"... but have no problem whatsoever with them cutting me open for the C-section

Oh my gosh... on the topic of episiotomy. One of our friends asked her gynae to actually stich her up "smaller"! Does that even work?! Cause I mean the area inside remains the same size?

Another friend of mine said with her C-section again, she asked her gynae to give her a mini tummy tuck.

I'm hearing all these things but then think to myself - can it honestly be or are they just making this up?

In my mind the "extra stitching" won't effect the size of your vajayjay...
And having a tummy tuck after a caesarean should (in my opinion) effect your future pregnancies in a negative way - possible tearing, causing severe stretchmark's etc...

What do you gals think? Mind you - everything these 2 woman say, MUST be taken with a pinch of salt...or maybe a teaspoon or 2...
