@louisemarie with my first i was 41 weeks and it was an emergency c sec cause he just didnt want to come hahahha he was big.
Now with this one its sheduled yes and the nerves are there to think of that spinal.. But my comcern is i read somewhere that 38 weeks the baby can struggle a bit?? How true is that?? I want my gynae to push it atleast to 39 weeks cause his concern was me being on labour before that. And it terrified me too

Lol!!! Juanita - you will see: that tissue salt does an AMAZING job!!! I've not once had that "kicked" feeling since taking my tissue salts on a daily basis. You will also see - the moment you maybe "skip" a dosage, you'll start feeling "something"... So then I just immediately chew 3 tablets.

Thanks for asking! The Disney on Ice was amazing - although my daughter got bored intermittently. Luckily the couple who sat next to us had a little 2 year old girl, so my daughter immediately zoned in on her and kept her busy by acting the role of "BIG sister"... My goodness, she's going to be such a wonderful big sister! It made me feel so proud!!!

The seats on the other side was absolutely HORRIBLE! It was a flimsy fold-up plastic chair with ZERO leg space. I'm short, and my knees constantly knocked the chair in front. And then the people behind you obviously has the same problem, kicking you between the shoulder blades... But oh well - at least it is now done and dusted

Wonder if it will work for c-sec incision as well?

Oh yes!!! The mommies who'll have a c-sec... I know how your incision looks afterwards really depends on your gynae, but with my c-sec my gynae referred me to a plastic surgeon fro a miracle product!!! It's called Scar Management. It's a type of gel and it comes in a 50ml tube. With the tube you then also buy a box of microspore tape/bandage. 6 years ago the two cost me R600... Not sure on the price now.

Anyway, how it works is you put the tape over the length of the incision. Then you cover the tape with the gel. It's sounds "backwards", but apparently that's how it works.

I promise you - my current gynae thought I had a natural birth, cause she couldn't find my c-sec incision! You can't see it, and I'm always fully waxed.

That gel is a miracle in a bottle and I swear by it!!! I know you can get it readily available at Reconstructive Surgeons, but maybe PillPusher can advise if it's now available via chemists?

@Liz, i also got stitches with my first born and i believe my saving grace was the red uv light after every salt wash. my wound healed so fast even my dr was amazed. That and i believe you need to keep it dry afterwards!!

@Louise Marie, how was your disney on ice?? Did your daughter enjoy it??
Also been "kicked in the fan fan" since the weekend, holy hell its no fun!! Just sent dh to go get me some tissue salts. Honestly i think i just shouldve stayed in bed today, feel so BLEH!

Oh my goodness Stelliesmama! That's terrible... As if regular pregnancy niggles aren't enough on its own!

Congratulations on reaching the half-way mark!!! It's quite scare to think that 5 months have passed and it's only down to 4 months now...

I'll be reaching my half-way mark Saturday and I can't wait!!! Just to know it will be downhill from here - although it's the most uncomfortable part.

Aden, as Lauz said - prepare for both options, rather than just one. You get some amazing Birth Plans for caesareans to make it as "natural" as possible for the mother.

The theatre doesn't have to be this cold and sterile environment they portray it to be... You can play your music, have the lights dimmed etc - it can be a very calming environment. Plus - it will only lasts a maximum of 30 minutes

Regarding back pain, I have been suffering for 6 weeks now. Have gone for abdominal sonars as the pain shoots right through to my upper abdomen and sternum. By the afternoon I can't even sit anymore. Anyway after many doctors, gynae, physio, chiro appointments they have finally been able to diagnose that I have pregnancy induced Intercostal Neuralgia So basically it's a compressed nerve in the rob/abdominal area. There's nothing I can do about it and my doctor has advised to just sit it out. It's really awful, it gets so bad that I feel winded.

I hit the half way mark yesterday, can't believe how quickly that came by. Tomorrow is the big day at the Fetal Assessment Clinic. I am so excited, yet so nervous as well. I just want to know that everything is ok.
