I was definitely not a camper when i met my husband 11 years ago, but i came to love it. My daughter however was a born little camper. She just blooms when we go. She loves the freedom, the maaitjies, i think its just the overall break in routine. We usually try to go camping with some of our friends so there is always maaitjies that we know, just makes it easier.
We've only gone away over Easter this year so my poor caravan is under a blanket of dust already :(
I am seriously getting withdrawal symptoms with regards to going away. Think thats part of the reason im so irritated!!

Hey Juanita!

I'm so jealous of you guys going camping... I wish I can get my hubby into camping. He doesn't have a problem with camping - but he also won't go and buy camping stuff... So that will most probably fall on me to do. :(

Maybe I'll look into it when my UIF monies pay out once baby is born.

Jip, we're keeping the name a surprise. DH is suddenly coming up with different names - don't know if it's just to irritate me, but then I just reply: We already have a name and continue with whatever I'm busy with :P

And yesterday I received an e-mail and the lady's name was the exact same name!!! I just started tearing up, cause I realised once again what a beautiful name it was! So come hell or high water - THAT will be the name!

@LillyR... We put too much pressure on ourselves...!

@ Lauz.Mayer I absolutely  the names you chose!! So cool for a boy!! Also feeling highly irritated today!! Told dh to rather leave my office before he makes the headlines tomorrow   I can just imagine it "Pregnant wife kills husband at work"   He really has a tendency to get on my nerves lately! :S

Really wanted to squeeze in a week away before baby comes but our gardener is going away for 2 months (Aug & Sep) so we wont have anyone to look after the farm if we go away :( and October will be too late as i suspect baby will be making her appearance in the 2nd last week of October.
We have however decided to go camping for a week in December. My daughter absolutely loves camping and we are very well organised so really shouldnt be a problem with a 2month old

@LouiseMarie so weird about your bloated-ness. i think your right that your stomach moved around with baby moving up. Makes alot of sense! Did you say that you were keeping your name a secret??
we are still looking for names. my daughter and i found a name we absolutely love, but now we need to get dh to agree :P I hope he comes around, i feel like this is "the right one".

I don't seem to be having a problem with appetite... except that I worry that I'm eating too much  After my dehydration incident it took about 5 days for my appetite to get back to normal. I think the shakes are a good idea if you're worried about your precious cargo not getting enough nutrients.

@Lauz – I'm also short, only 1.55m! There's not much space for baba to go except "out" :silly:

@LillyR – I struggle with that even when I'm not pregnant. It's very frustrating for my husband, but it's one of those things we've had to work on as a couple because I don't have a great libido. I bought some lube over the weekend though because the bump is at the point of making missionary ill advisable (and very uncomfortable) and I find it very difficult to start things off on top... sorry if I'm being TMI now

@LouiseMarie – hope your DH snaps out of his "denial". My husband was very gungho about getting things done early, but then other things got in the way. I think he's more motivated now that it is getting closer, he's starting to get anxious about sorting out the nursery (clearing out all our old crap and painting it). I'm also not keen on the idea of rushing around in those last few days before the arrival. It's my hope that I'll be able to work for as long as possible so that I have more time to spend with El when she comes.

I feel like I'm in better control of my emotions, but I tend to get irritable and worried easily. There are certain things that have set me off during my pregnancy though. I'm avoiding any urges to watch "Up" because the beginning of that usually makes me cry so I can imagine it would be that much worse during pregnancy.

Have noticed a bit of a change in my demeanour when I work in retail pharmacy though. I find it much more difficult to sell women the morning after pill now. I fully understand that an unwanted pregnancy can be disasterous, but it feels so awkward now. I don't know how to deal with it.

I hope the weather cooperates for ladies wanting to do outdoor shoots. I also want some shots outside, just need to find the right location but we'll get to those later. Having a studio at home is convenient.
