Hi Mommas!
It's been a while since I've replied to anything. Being a teacher, last term really got the better of me... Haha but luckily I am on winter holiday now so I have time again. I have been following everyone's journey on my e-mail notifications.
Congrats to (almost?) everyone on finding out the gender! My doctor confirmed on my 16 week scan that we are having a little girl!

We are very excited as this is the first girl in a family full of boys! We are just glad that our baba is doing well and kicking up a storm, as she is our first. We decided on the name Leah. We have not told everyone the name, as I am so afraid someone says something negative about it, but I am ready to tell them where to get off, as a name has nothing to do with anyone else. We are going for our big anomaly scan on 15 July at the Fetal Assessment Doctor to check for heart defects etc. so we can be prepared.
I have gone a bit over-board with buying cute baby clothes! My husband and I hit all the factory shops a few weeks ago... Feels like I'm broke now!

But it is all very exciting.
We have not bought any big items as yet, but we have been doing LOTS of research. The only "big" thing I have bought is the Medela breastpump. Once again did loads of research and read lots of reviews on this and decided to take this one. At the end of the month we finally have the baby expo in Cape Town! We are waiting until then to get the bigger items. {Am I the only Cape Town Mama in the group?

}
I have really been confused by all the travel systems!!! What a daunting task to choose one! We have done lots of research and read lots of reviews, but all the choices! Everyone recommends the Chelino brand travel systems, but I am not crazy about their car-seats. It does not feel as soft and comfy as the other brands. I don't think we will go with Chelino. But hey, that's just my opinion.
My belly has started to pop! Haha and I was forced to get some maternity clothes. I'm trying to pick things that aren't actual maternity stuff, things I can wear again when I'm not pregnant. I've also been working hard on keeping up with a photo week-by-week pregnancy "journal". Just a photo with my belly and small tid-bits about that week which I want to remember. My husband and I are both aspiring photographers so it works out perfectly... I have someone I can trust to take photos of me! (I've included a photo of my lovely little Leah-belly

)
I have the same problem with the hunger! I feel hungry (starving actually) and when I take two bites I feel stuffed! I've been forcing down more food just to make sure my baba gets enough and I have enough energy.
I hope everyone has a great day!
