Today I'm just wanting to munch so the sweets and chocolate have found their way into my mouth I can't really say so much that I've had cravings. It's still just a case of smelling something and possibly wanting it. Last night there was a funny smell at my class, which was still on the little folder we got and when I was at home I figured out that it reminded me of teekoekies that my ouma made. Then I wanted that. Haha. But not available!

Am due mid october and am having a boy AGAIN : ) but it doesnt really matter cause i went through a miscarriage last year so after going through that gender didnt make me sulk hahahaha!
Ill book a tour soon and check parklane out.

@lillyr, talking about cravings i really love steri stumpie(some milky drink) i dont even know how i ended up there. But am happy no sweets and chocolates.

LillyR - I would say give in to your craving?

I've been eating biltong & droewors with both my pregnancies - as long as it's not too wet.

With my last pregnancy I didn't touch coke - only Tab... But it's NOT the same... So this pregnancy I have my glass of coke when I feel like it, although I put a whole lot of ice with it.

The key is everything in moderation. The amount of caffeine in Coke is not enough to cause damage if you have a glass every once in a while. The same with biltong...

My previous gynae (who was VERY strict), okayed it and the same with my current gynae...

If you go with everything every one tells you to avoid during pregnancy - you wouldn't even be able to breath in the air you are currently breathing in...

Trust your gut and go with what you feel.

welcome kimmy- i gave birth at parklane, will be going there again this year for my second baba. I really loved it there, but that was 5 yrs ago, so hopefully they are still a great team. The care in the maternity ward was excellent. i really loved it there. I suggest you book a tour and get to see the gacilities. back then i went to a Life hosp tour as well and Netcare spoke to me more, i didnt quite like what Life was offerring. So this might be different from person to person, hence i suggest you go and see the facilities and your gut feeling will tell you if that's were you will have your baby or not.

I am still waiting for my vitality card, hopefully it arrives soon. Any idea how long it usually takes? feels like i have been waiting for over a month now.

ladies, what do you crave for mostly. All i want is coke and biltong so badly, the craving just wotn go away, i dont know how long i will be able to resist the temptation

I'm not sure if this is a good or a bad thing, but I am a compulsive competition entrant... My friends and colleagues even tease me to say they're going to sign me up for Competitions Anonymous... If I can win it - I will enter it...

Turns out my bad weekend had a twist of luck for me! Just got a phone call from Johnson & Johnsons. In April when Checkers brought out their new baby catalogue, they had 2 competitions in:

1. Purity: Win a camp cot
2. Johnson & Johnsons: Win a R1000 Checkers voucher

In June I was contacted to say I was one of the 5 winners to win a camp cot
and now I was contacted to say I was one of the R1000 Checkers Voucher winners!

Somewhere in my life I must've done something right... Now I can finally go and buy my Tommee Tippee electric breast pump!

Had our first antenatal class last night. A lot of the info wasn't really news to me, but there were some very helpful hints and tips. Some info leaflets and product samples and the notes prepared by the midwife.

Who has or is giving birth at parklane. What was your expirience or been there for a tour?
Ill like to give birth there, went to genesis with my first but because of my elective c section will be going to parklane.
