morning ladies

how are you all doing? gosh my emotions are just all over the place today. A friend of mine is 28 weeks and was told her baby has OMPHALOCELE my heart is in pieces. So this means baby has to go for surgery after birth, he also has transposition of great arteries, so this means heart surgery and the stomach one.

i am going to try and register at dischem. i have registered on vitality as well, i am awaiting the letter from them so i can go and collect. I will post the contents of the bag as soon as I get it.

And all the necessities: pads, surgical spirits, awesome bag... Actual stuff you need and can use! I can still remember how I had to send my hubby to the pharmacy a few hours after my daughter's birth, to go and buy saline solution, cause she wouldn't stop sneezing - the poor thing... And they even included that for you! {jealous}

I'm very pissed with Discovery - apparently you only get a bag if you are a Vitality member (which is an additional charge every month on top of your medical aid contribution! So if you don't have Vitality, sorry for you - you don't get a bag... What the hell? I am a Vitality member, but still - there's many people out there that it not on the Vitality option, so what - they then just loose out on a bag because they're not paying an additional R200+/per member each month?

Highly unfair...

Wow, feel so sorry for ct ladies, its freeezing over there!!!

Got my baby bag yesterday (only meant to get it at 32 weeks but lady said she would save me the trouble of coming back) Im on Medihelp. I do remember with my lg i was still on Discovery and although the stuff inside was awesome, especially the discount vouchers i didnt like the physical bag. this time however I got such a nice bag. And alot of stuff inside, i was pleasantly suprised!!

As far as I know I registered for Vitality Baby once I was 12 weeks.

I find it unfair that you have to register for Vitality in order to get a baby bag, as not everyone chooses to opt in for Vitality.

On other medical aids who doesn't have an "extra" option, you still get your baby bag upon registering your pregnancy.

So for me personally, it would make sense to get a Vitality bag as well as the regular Discovery Baby bag - as both is a separate contribution!

Think I'll ask them this question on their FB page quickly...

Ah ok, I was under the impression I had to book my bed first etc before getting the bag, I havent registered baby yet on either, so I'll go back and check again when it gave me the option it was asking to get my hospital admission processed. Then again I was doing it through my app. Will check the page when I'm home tonight and see. Thanks for the heads up hahaha

But I'm on the Delta Classic Saver option, so I doubt I'll be covered
