PP that's great news!!! I've got the Avent manual breastpump and when I tried it out last month it actually expressed some milk!

If it turns out to be a struggle, my friend has a brand new Tommee Tippee electrical she will give me.

I have a question for all the c-section mommies (previous c-sec and newly c-sec)...

My first c-sec was sutured internally - so it basically looked like it was "glued" together. The incision healed so great, that todat you can't even see my incision. Even my previous and current gynae struggled to see my scar.

Now my question is - did you get a suture (stiches) or glue or staples? I've heard most gynaes prefer staples cause it's quicker...but it leaves a horrible scar... like an "earthworm-like" riff.

The glue I've hears tends to tear open.

According to google and my own experience, sutures are much better and has a better healing rate.

I'm flubbergasted now, cause I have no idea how my new gynae does hers... I'll ask her on Monda @ my appointment, but I'm stressing that she uses staples...and I don't want staples...

It's silly - I know it should be the last thing I worry about...but I guess this is my "pregnancy fear".

Hi ladies,

Sorry just a quick one, I will do personals tomorrow or so.

It has been a hectic day, but I'm back home and baby will probably only come on Friday. Non-stress test looked fine so Dr wants to push until Friday when I'm a full 38 weeks. It did show slight contractions, but Dr seemed to thinks it won't be a problem till Friday.

LG at home and parents are cranky, so can't wait for hubby to come home!

Thanks to all for the support. Been much better, although El is still feeding like mad!! Haven't run dry again though. She's been difficult with going into her cot now, I've been worried but have been assured that at this point in their little lives they actually can't be spoilt. A friend was chatting to me this morning about it cause I'd remarked that El's been getting away with sleeping in my arms all night because I fall asleep feeding her and when I wake up it's usually because she's hungry again or I change her nappy and that wakes her up for feeding and my friend said it was the same thing for about 2/3 weeks with her LB and the habit didn't stick. This afternoon she had a cunning plan though - she peed during a change and managed to get it into her mattress - so she had to be held for longer, but fortunately we have a steam mop so with cleaning off with that the mattress has dried faster. The camp cot changing tray has been attached now!

@Louise - my antenatal sister has offered to loan me her rental Medela electric and manual Avent pumps to try out before I buy a pump.

@Lauz - good luck with finishing your LB's room.

Aden, good luck, sorry to say but im not sure you going to see your ml before baba comes. Larissa didn't drop until i was almost 4cm dilated so cant tell you what it feels like but you can definitely see a change in your tummy!! Good luck anyway! My lg school concert also Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Im so chuffed that I didn't need any stitches and will be able to go. With Leandi's birth i was quite immobile .....
Also you can get the rasberry leaf tea at Dischem, comes in leaf form. I started drinking from anout 34 weeks.

Kimmy, good luck with your hungry lb, have you thought about asking dr for something to up your milk supply??

I looked at Takealot they didn't have electric steamers only microwave ones and I'm looking for the Nuk one preferably as my bottles are Nuk. Also I get discount at babies r us/reggies with my discovery card and at Dischem trying to get better deals on everything lol
