Lol... Lauz to describe a catheter: imagine them sticking a straw up into your peepee hole (not your vjj)... it's an extremely "raw" feeling!

Morning all

@Lauz, what I experienced with my water that broke, is that it was a constant leaking (very little in the beginning). And NOT only when urinate. I wore a pad as I had some discharge (TMI). I noticed the morning of Cara's birth that the pad seemed to be wet all the time and slowly but surely it started getting more. Maybe the straw like colour could be a change in colour discharge? Mine changed just before my mucus plug came out and got darker after the plug. I know that closer to deliver your cervix will start softening and discharge may occur?

@ZandriT Cara also battles with winds and reflux, Telement drops work for the smaller cramps, I have Gripe water which is a bit stronger, but can only be administered once Baba is over 2.5kg, Cara is only 2.6kg now, so I will wait a little longer before I give it to her. I find that lying her down over my knee helps to burp her, sometimes just lying her down flat on her back and then picking her up again also loosens the wind. . Giving her her dummy helps a lot with the cramps, apparently the saliva that she generates is also a type of anti-acid. (There are more Pro's to giving a dummy to a premature baby than cons, which I had to prove to Hubby as he hates it) Hope this helps!

BH... so glad I don't have to experience those anymore, I had them almost constantly as I had a very irritated uterine. So a big good luck to all!

Good morning ladies

Wow what a night. Stephan was awake most of the night with cramps. He finally had a big poo this morning and is fast asleep now. I have really been struggling with getting all the winds out. Wr have a follow up appointment with the pediatrician today so I will ask him if there is anything I can give him to ease the cramps . I have drops but doesn't seem to work.

On the BH. I had them alot whilst I was in hospital but the nurses said as long as they are not painful then its nothing to worry about.

I Can't believe that Stephan would have been 37 weeks this Thursday . And today is the day my c sec would have been done was it not for my amniotic fluid . Oh well everything worked out well in the end.

Sorry for not replying to everyones posts. Wil reply a bit later . Wow I am so tired

Hope everyone has a lovely day

Something I read on the vitality email is that your water can break slowly like as if you have wet yourself, similar to leaking a bit of pee and you can see the difference as it can be a clear to straw colour, with no smell or sweet almond like smell.

Now this has me a little concerned as I have noticed since yesterday when I wipe a straw coloured type pee stain. I thought it was because I hadn't been drinking enough water, will keep an eye out again today although this time I'm going to down my water at work!

It definitely has Aden!

Louise I 100% agree with you. First pregnancy I had no clue what on earth BH's felt like and I too have them where ever when ever. I mean I just had a really strong one this morning getting out the car and walking into the office!

That comment was from my gynae I haven't been feeling any pain going into my vagina while having BH's just more of a needle like feeling in my lower ab above my vagina. Like as if baby is sitting on a nerve of my bladder.

Today it's been like that with all my BH's and his movements I'm feeling him pretty low there.

I don't know how a catheter feels so I can't say but I think she means if you feel the pain in the walls of your vagina. As if you were being stretched I would assume.

It's so weird... I never felt ONE BH with my first pregnancy. This pregnancy they've been all over the show - when I'm lying down, when I'm sitting, standing and even walking!!! Walking is the worst...cause it's accompanied by that feeling of a catheter being inserted - really uncomfortable!

Someone actually commented last month or earlier this month, that as long as the pain doesn't go "into" your vjj, then there's no reason for concern... but what does it mean if it goes into my vjj?

All these damn questions haunt me now the week that my gynae is on leave... Hopefully Monday I'll have all my answers!

Morning Moms!

@Juanita I'll check Dischem today for the raspberry leaf tea.

@Clueless now you can hopefully rest a bit more before Friday.

@Louise I'll the Nuby nipple balm as well.

BH have been happening more often. Not painful just uncomfortable!

It's hot in the Cape this week so I have lovely swollen everything. Haha!

@Lauz 36 weeks!!! Feels like yesterday when it was just 6 weeks. Time flew by!

Enjoy your day Moms
