@Clueless, I get you, only seeing gynae on the 2nd of May 2015 ... it seems like foreva but what else can 1 do .

@lillyr I am in your exact situation, its the complete opposite, anxiously waiting to see how the gender will play out. With my daughter, I had a terrible case on nausea, throwing up the moment I start eating. this time around, I rarely experience nausea, I don't throw up all. I am so so sleepy, by 8pm I am a gonna, the fatigue is beyond. so will c in 2nd trimester when we find out the gender.

ladies, can symptoms be a gender predictor? or is it too early now to tell if you will have a girl or a boy? I am going out of my mind because I dont have any symptoms just as with my DD does this mean its a girl? do you guys ever wonder?

Its so nice to have another JHB'er on here! I'm also from JHB, (for the last 7 years) and am now sortof inbetween, in Douglasdale now but will (hopefully) be moving to Ferndale before baby comes. If all goes well.

Gosh... sibling rivalry I think is something that varies from family to family. My brother and I were four years apart and fought like cat and dog – it was nasty. I have a better understanding of factors which affected our relationship now and how he often acted out against me, but it was rough growing up. At least when we got older, with him leaving home a few years before me we started to get along better.
I don't think you can ever predict what's going to happen. Little people have their own personalities. But I would hope that the bond that siblings share wins out in most cases to keep them loving each other.

I have a sneaky suspicion that this is a boy. Not sure how I will feel about that yet, having only a little girl and not sure how to raise a boy Hubby is not a very traditional Afrikaner (rugby, braai and beer) type of guy (he is more into computers, how-stuff-works and Formula 1 racing). So if we get a little sports fanatic we may be in for some changes Although I do think it may be nicer for my LG to have a brother, I grew up with one brother and really liked it. Also, if two sisters don't get along, things can get REALLY mean What are you ladies' feelings about sibling rivalry?

Hubby is of course convinced it is another little girl and very happy about that.

On hubby's side of the family there are only two girls (my SIL's kids) and my brother and his wife don't have kids, due to infertility problems. So a little boy will be the first in the family, nice for the grandparents but not really important to us though.
