@Louise - not really in pain persé, it's more continuing the anti-inflammatory for the five days. Taken some paracetamol (with/without codeine) as needed, but sometimes that's for a headache or my rib spasms. Mainly experience pain when I sit up and that is to be expected cause the muscles will take that much more time.

@louise, i only take it when i have those misreable days, not everyday.

Oh yes - on the c-sec scar: you MUST try and massage the scar to avoid the scarring making a "riff"... PP, maybe try and put infrared on the incision to help with any discomfort?

PP it's strange that you're still in pain/uncomfortable after your c-sec? Is your incision very high up?

Zandri, I had the laser treatment done 6years ago with Elmarise as well - 2 times a day for 3 days. Worked like a charm!!! In my case they had to "laser" my blocked ducts due to the overfill, but it gave me such relief!!!

AFM - heartburn back with revenge!!! Oh my word...I just drink some water and I get heartburn! It's so bad that it gives me a "stinging" feeling up into my ears... Not to talk about the constant headache! Luckily no swelling, so doubt it's blood pressure.

Kimmy, wanted to say - you said you're drinking Iron supplement? Just watch out, cause Iron can make you constipated?

@Zandri - see we both posted close together Recovery... Still struggling to sit up so my knees are still being bent so I can use them for leverage. Also had some headaches, but not too often (and could easily be due to sinuses in my case). I've been drinking coffee more regularly again, not more than one cup per day though. I haven't really looked at my wound, DH needs to take the dressing off today - been asking him to check it each morning for puss/oozing/bleeding. I've been reducing my painkillers too. My complaint ATM is that after having diarrhea in hospital, I'm now constipated so had to take laxette last night.

@Kimmy - how are you feeling now?

@Clueless - glad they picked it up. I'm hoping everything goes well - just head to the hospital if you don't feel happy about anything for your own peace of mind.

@Zandri - ag man! Too cute. Hope he can come home soon, it sounds like he's doing well!

@HVDB - have you tried pumping while you're feeding? Feed one side and pump the other - it's supposed to make it flow more easily and you'll bolster your supply for storage?

AFM - Night 4 was much better and I got more sleep. I asked my antenatal midwife about El being miserable from 8/9pm until about 12/1am and if it might be something other than wind and she said should just give her more cuddles because it's probably that she's wanting more time with me. Seemed to work although she scored because I ended up dozing off twice while feeding her during the night Also had her first outing yesterday so I could buy nursing bras... Had a fight with the cashiers at woolies cause the packs in my size had the price taken off and rang up at R10 more per pack and the till supervisor didn't want to override it. Threw some serious shade their way - I'm a new mommy, sleep deprived and needing nursing bras - don't f#%$ with me (didn't say that, but was implied) and got it sorted.

The orthopedic surgeon is away until next week so her paed said I must take her to see him today just so he can check what's going on. Said he'd make arrangements to get her a harness if needed. Glad that he's being proactive about it.
