@LouiseMarie - I will stay away from the baking soda lol. Just imagine the chaos if that should happen.

@pp , the nipple cream you apply before breastfeeding or few weeks or Days before birth?? I've suffered from cracked nipples before and its torture

Zandri, no bicarb with the vinegar! It will make a helluva fuzz and boil over in your machine...

The vinegar will suffice.

For washing all the stuff now like their curtains, bedding, plush toys etc -I've used the Comfort Baby softner... love the smell that lingers!

PP, yeah - I've been soooooooo busy in finalising the room after the painting & furniture arriving last week.. So it's literally taking up all my time about.

Seems this was my week for compliments! Feel so chuffed

Tuesday @ school with my daughter's concert 2 seperate women complimented me about how beautiful my bump looks and the other one about how cute my bump looks!

Today my daughter's after care principal commented that I'm carrying in front, and it looks like I swallowed a pea

Such a change from my first where everyone constantly asked if it was twins...

Thank you will try. Sorry to hear about your RLP. It can be very sore sometimes. I had a pain the other day which felt like my appendix was rupturing and it turned out to be RLP. So jealous that you are on maternity leave. My feet have been so swollen and I just cannot wait to get off my feet into my PJ's and in bed every day. Just 3 more weeks.

When she starts waking up... she makes the cutest little sounds, it sounds like a baby crocodile when they hatch and sometimes it sounds like a little mouse!

@ZandriT At the moment I use the Huggies New born, the one with the cut out area for the umbilical cord, still too big for her but no leakage etc, I also use the J&J Extra Sensitive Baby Wipes as they are fragrance free. Detergent... I use the Purity & Elizabeth Ann's detergent for auto and hand wash.. I love it, it is not too heavily scented, just enough to give it that baby smell and it leaves the clothes nice and soft. Cara has had no skin reaction to anything yet.. she might have my allergies (dust etc) as she sneezes about 6 times during the day.

Then on another note, we went for her 10 day check up today. She is doing really well. Birth she weighed 2.02kg, with discharge the weighed 1.87kg, and today she weighed in at 2.05kg... a whole 30g heavier than birth she has also grown about 2cm. Dr says she is a real champion as at birth they didn't think that she was going to go home with me... (they never told me that... ) So all in all.... happiness all around.

I also managed to make her inoculation appointments today until the 10 weeks one. The clinic doesn't have a diary for next year yet... but will make those soon enough. I was very lucky to get an appointment for her 6 weeks inoculations on the 4th of Nov as they are already fully booked till Dec, but luckily someone cancelled. They still don't have the TB vaccine, so I need to follow up regularly with them for when they get stock. But I should receive a sms as soon as they get it.

You girls must enjoy the last stretch... I know I am a fine one to speak as I constantly complained about being uncomfortable... but now that she is here and not inside my belly...it is completely forgotten. I actually miss feeling her during the night when I couldn't sleep etc... never thought that I would miss my bump... but I do! It really is over so quickly. Tomorrow I would have had 1 week to go! So just hang in there... almost time!

I can't wait for one of your baby's to come... then I am will not be so lonely this side...

@Zandri - I googled it and saw to add half a cup. When DH used it he just added 80ml. No smell

How much vinegar do you add? And does it leave a smell? I have read that baking soda can also be used not sure if if works.
