Zandri I know exactly what you talking about with my flu, blowing my nose or coughing has had me feel that sharp pain really low on either side. I don't think it's something to worry about unless you feeling it without doing anything if you know what I mean. As for babies weight 1.4kg at 28 weeks is good. My Lb was only 1.3kg and she even pushed him ahead to 29 weeks. I'll be going on tues also for my 32 week scan. Even though she had pushed him a week ahead (he would be 33 then) I'll see how he is doing at this scan to see if I must stick with 32/33 weeks lol.

LM oh that's wonderful! Yeah I know all about this whole RSVP it pisses me off! I can't understand how after having an invite a month in advance you have made plans. Those plans were deliberate! But rather not have someone that is a little jealous of your pregnancy at your baby shower, could create a vibe which you don't want!

As for the SW theme lol I think my mom got through to DH so we just sticking to my simple ideas for the room lol!

All this talk about baby showers and to be honest I don't think I'll be having one. Not too perturbed about it though as I pretty much have everything.

Zandri, I had the exact same thing the other day when standing up... and then it was just gone. Read in one if my books that round ligament pain will syart to subside from 30 weeks, but that BH will increase.

Kimmy, so how was your sister with the kids and the fact that there wasn't a jumping castle  Did she at least get you something decent for the shower?

My shower is this coming weekend... The invites went out exactly a month ago - and can you believe, upon confirming over the weekend if certain people will be attending (as they haven't RSVP'd yet and we need final figures for the food etc), some of them replied - oh sorry, we already made other arrangements. Like my DH said - they knew more than a month ago already that the shower was on... But this is now the wife of a very close old school friend of DH. Their don is a year older than our daughter, but they decided not to have any more children. So when it came out we were pregnant again, I constantly had to endure snotty comments from her about this pregnancy like : Urgh, so glad I don't have to go through THAT again... How's our little BOY doing (knowing very well it's a girl!), Enjoy the sleepless nights... etc etc...

DH says it's because she's jealous of not going to have the chance of getting pregnant again. But still - she's sooooooo spitefull!!! So maybe it's ablessing in she's not coming.

Had a mini-shower from two friends over the weekend who won't be able yo come this weekend. Was blessed with a electric baby swing (Ingenuity), camping cot, infant sleep positioners, a neck pillow for baby for either catseat or pram, a angelcare monitor with breathing pad, feeding chair... all 2nd hand, but in immaculate condition!!!

Even hubby said - we are fully prepared now!

Can't believe it's down to 7 weeks... The time has gone by so fast!!!!!

Lauz - oh yes, on the SW theme... Oh my... I'm a great SW fan, but not for a baby! Not even a toddler! It's more an "adult" thing.

Maybe tell DH nowhere in SW is there babies - execpt for when Luke & Kayla is born, but that wasn't even 2 minutes! You mos said DH has not yet started setting anything up? So maybe do it your way before he has the chance to do the SW thing?

Good Morning Ladies

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend. I must say that I am happy summer is here but I am not enjoying this heat.

Regarding maternity leave I've read that some of you will be working for as long as possible - I have decided to go on my leave two weeks before my due date. I just can't imagine working for longer because I am so incredibly uncomfortable. Baby has been very active and with all the heartburn and this heat I just cannot see how I can work for much longer.

I will be seeing my Dr this Friday for my 32 week appointment although I will be 33 weeks. I am very anxious to find out what babies weight will be. He was 1.4 Kg's at the 28 week appointment so I am hoping that he has put on some healthy weight.

I have a question for everyone, have any of you had round ligament pain lately? Mine has subsided for a month or two and suddenly this morning it's back. I had a light cough this morning and felt very sharp pains on the lower side of my uterus. Very painful I instinctively held on to my tummy because it felt like something was tearing loose :pinch:
Very strange and I am not sure if I should be worried because the pain was there for e second or two and gone.

Anyway hope everyone will have a great day.

Boy do I hate Mondays :S

Good morning Ladies,

Juanita I surprisingly have never had a person even comment on the fact that I'm working till I pop lol. I had a friend who was adamant her baby would come early everyone told her the same thing so she took off only to have her baby a month later. I could never do that, sit and be on edge waiting would rather keep myself busy and spend more time with baby. Had it been a c-section I think I might have taken a week before so I'm prepared knowing that baby is coming on that day. I definitely won't be working as hard in the last few weeks, I usually sit back and just be there for the people doing my work to ask any questions if they need to and make sure they are confident in my work. I don't know how you did the whole bed rest thing my word, I would have gone insane!

Have a lovely day all

Working for myself definitely has its benefits!! I won't be putting in as many hours these last 3 weeks, and dh totally understands, so that's a positive!! But people still think im crazy only going off a week before my baby comes?? But i must say Lauz you are definitely taking the cake!!!

With Leandi i was put on bedrest from 32 weeks until I gave birth at 38 weeks!! Was horrendous!!! I was bored out of my scull!!! That's why with this little one i will rather work half days and take it easy, just to make sure she comes when she's supposed to come and, that I don't need to be glued to the bed to keep her safe!
