Hi ladies
Looks like it's been a busy day on our little forum. I've been snowed under at work. Really didn't have time to post anything 'cause there's a lot of pressure and I've only got until Wednesday to wrap things up
@Kimmy - glad you enjoyed your shower and your sister didn't bring you down. I also got so many clothing items, so glad I didn't buy much in that line before hand!
@LouiseM - I agree with the other ladies, don't let some bitter woman get you down. And people are terrible with RSVPs - it pisses me off like you wouldn't believe! I love planning things, but hate trying to get people to commit to an event. You'd think you were asking them to sign their life's savings over to you or something as opposed to a simple "yes, I'll be there" or "no, can't make it".
@Lauz - shame! I actually like Star Wars, but I don't think I would have wanted it as a nursery theme either. There were so many times that I had to argue with DH about that kind of thing before we were even actively trying for a baby because he'd go on about buying Marvel superhero items. I'd say that a baby's room should be more baby-friendly and when older the transition can come in. That being said, El has a little plushy Batman and a Lego Star Wars Darth Vader amongst her teddies

and my friend christened the nappy bin "R2D2" when she saw it on Saturday!
@Zandri - I also had RLP when I was feeling sick and coughing. I'd be a bit concerned about the blood though. Maybe give your doctor a call?
@Clueless - I've felt exactly the same! I hate being asked if I'm excited because I actually just want to get to the point where she's home and safe!
@Juanita - this temp sounds like a total dud! As if there aren't people desperate to be employed!
@Lauz - I'm also working quite late, but I (should) have just under 2 weeks until El arrives. I think I'll need that bit of time to relax though. My boss Is getting more nervous by the day that something might happen while I'm still at work!
AFM. Had a bit of an emotional weekend. Long story, but basically left feeling very hurt by my in-laws and the way they treat DH (and me). It's not like a constant bad blood thing, just the way that they don't seem to consider us as a priority among their children. It really upsets me that something like this has come up so close to El's birth, it's one of the last things that I wanted

especially when DH is hurting from it. But I also look at it from the perspective that maybe the timing isn't as bad a thing cause at least he'll have his little girl to shower attention on and won't be so quick to pander to his parents' every whim.
I was a bit concerned earlier today that "something" was happening. I've been getting painful stabbing pains in the back of my rib cage. I started monitoring the frequency but fortunately it tapered off. I read that some women go into "back labour".
And the nursery is 99% done. Just a few minor touches here and there to satisfy my OCD to still be done.
