Hello all you lovely ladies

Just had to drop in to say how happy I am that Nisha is back!!! Welcome back hun, so happy to see you. Pity about the internet, though, but you are doing so well. The antenatal classes are a huge help, and you will have everything done by the time baby comes.

@Zaza: How beautiful and perfect is Zaina! Oh my word, she is just the cutest. And smiling and waving already? How clever!
I totally agree with you about the baby shower thing, I cannot believe that people would subject an already grumpy pregnant lady to such indignity.

Hope you all have a great day!

@Nisha - we have not forgotten you, what is your new cell number? Will add you to whats app again? Wow you bump has grown, and so glad you and baby are doing well and congrats on finding out you are having a boy baby, how exciting!! Enjoy the antenatal classes, they do help a lot.

@newmommy - I also use Elizabeth Anne for my LG now and will use them for the baby as well, just loves their smell and they seem so much more gentle. Got a sample pack from the 4D scan as a gift, was awesome. Awww love your baby shower theme and yes the dress up like baby can be quiet disturbing, lol rather leave the preggy mum in her comfort zone, everyone else can be silly!!

@Nix - aww you have such a beautiful belly pic and love the adorable side kick joining in on the pic!!! Daniella looks like she is loving mummies belly.........and yes I have to agree my tummy seems to have just exploded in size, but like you say it's cause the babies are growing, and Isabella already at 1.4, wow at least you know she is healthy and active and you right because they have more weight now, I also feel every little movement. I suddenly feel shocked that there is about 8 weeks to go for me or so, I can only imagine how you are feeling after the experience with Daniella, but you are now more prepared I think, mentally and physically and you did awesome last time. But all mum's want their babies to stay in as long as possible, are you going for a 4D scan?

@Dalene - sounds awesome that your LG got to enjoy the 4D scan, can't wait to see the pics, please upload them as soon as you can. And you right I think summer is gonna make us more uncomfortable, we already are 3-4 degrees higher than non=pregnant women, I am doing ok symptoms come and go, about the breast pumps, I have a Phillips avent manual pump and and electric one from my first pregnancy, I personally worked better with the manual pump cause I could pump faster than the electric one, I felt I just did not have the time with the electric one to sit and wait. But NewMommy is right, all of them are the same so choose what you can afford, remember your milk supply only bulks ups about 2-3 weeks after birth once baby has a suckling routine, so just keep at it!!

@Carmy - wow drakensburg break, you will love it, it has snowed lately so it will look stunning, awesome break you will have. I am feeling ok, the tiredness only comes I notice when baby has some growth developments, then I come back to normal, you will see as they add their KG's they do use a lot more of our energy.

Hello all you pregnant fairies, hope you and the babies are all doing well.

Well today we had our 4D scan and both me and hubby have finally realised how real this is and that in 8 weeks or so we will be meeting our little baby girl Zaina!! We really had a good 4D scan, baby was very active but we managed to get some pic's of her face, recordings, she was playing and hiding behind my placenta, and waving and covering her face, even got her open and closing her eyes and mouth also, it was really amazing. I think she looks like my hubby at this point. Here are her pics:

Good evening all,

Hope u all remember me. And plz don't blame me.. I blame Telkom. No Internet yet. Scheduled installation in on Oct 9. Poor me.

But managing with mobile data and smart village levy services inside the complex.

I'm so sorry I couldn't get in touch. Missed u all very much without sharing all day to day events..it was so bad for me. I did get to read few threads from zaza, new mommy, nix, happi, carmy all. But couldn't catch up individually.

So anyways updates from me
29 weeks and 2 days pregnant. In last scan we took last week baby was all good and happy. Weighing 1.3 kg. No change in due date. Opted for natural birth. Fingers crossed for that.

And we found out the gender.. Yayyyyyyyy

Please welcome me in team blue :-)

And my weight was like 4kg up since my last visit. Doc said me to watch it. Though it wouldn't be issue for baby or pregnancy its just I'm storing fat and it will make me difficult to lose weight after pregnancy it seems. But otherwise everything normal.

I just got my hospital bag half ready. And for baby so far u got only receiving blankets and fleece at woolies. Taking it slow this month becuase of some budget issues.

We also joined for antenatal class with sr.Louise at milnerton mediclinic. Today is my second session and I'm so excited to see all mom to be..getting to know many stuffs. Is anyone from here attending the same session?

Siting there and seeing few couples I was wondering if I knew someone already thru mommie forum :-( I wish someone is there.

Anyways..wish u all a great evening ahead

I will try to keep in touch as and when possible.. Miss u all ladies. And 11 more weeks for our little miracle to be in our arms. So excited about it.

Attaching my latest bump pic.

Take care.

And I did see all the bump and scan pics..so wonderful.. Cheers to all.
Take care all.

Helloo all you ladies

So, had a hectic weekend! First, spent the day cleaning on Saturday, and trust me, when you only have two rooms - and the 'spare' room is now the nursery, its a LOT of cleaning to do. Not even anywhere close to where I want to be, but there is progress - so thats a good thing. Then Sunday was spent playing catch-up with my disintegrating social life..lol, and discovered some more baby specials at Dischem (baby wash and shampoo for R37 for 500ml- I use Elizabeth Annes for myself and will use for baby too). The good news for the weekend was that a pregnant friend is doing much better in this trimester after a horrible first trimester, so was very happy for her!

The weather here in CT is wrecking havoc with my sinuses! I cant seem to get out of the congestive phase at all and rubbing my nose till it feels like it wants to fall off.

@ Zaza: True about them having personalities, and I find it so adorable:). Your LG sounds SO cute and funny the way she finds you hilarious. And I would give my left eye-teeth for an afternoon nap, but we aren't in Spain (siesta!!!), and my boss will have a fit to see me snoozing at my desk, lol. As for baby shower theme, because we have no idea what the gender is, we are going with gold and white balloons, gold and white stars, and 'twinkle, twinkle little star, how we wonder what you are' cake. I will get together some cocktail snack platters, and keep the champagne and orange juice flowing. I also refuse to dress up in horrible nappies etc (just not my thing) and will have more of a blessing-way than traditional baby shower - with henna artist, belly henna decorations, and all the women gathered making a prayer/blessing necklace. Hopefully everyone will have fun!

@ Carmy: hahahahaaa what fun- I wish you had taken a pic of that face! Priceless! I am hoping to have the baby shower in Mid Nov (probably the 14th). I know that frustration about the new room, had a full blown fight with hubster over the weekend about stuff, all sorted now though (I am a chucker of stuff and he is a hoarder - lol). I hope you have the best time at the wedding !!

@ dalene: (my mommy cap off, and my midwife cap on) - If you can afford it, please get an electric breast pump. When you are already stressing, its a nightmare to sit and manually pump. Gumtree has loads of options, but each electric one is as good as the other in my humble opinion. Also remember every pregnancy is different, and every breastfeeding experience is different. You are wiser now, so listen to your body, drink lots of jungle juice and try to relax (easier said than done, I know).

@ Nix: SO good to see you again! Gorgeous belly pic and may I say, what a cute photobomber, those locks are glorious..

Well, thats it from me ladies, have a wonderful week and take care of yourselves...

xxxNewMommy

Morning Ladies

How is everyone today? I have been MIA for a while :0(. I have been training another receptionist so at least now there will be two of us in the front which helps a lot so I am just getting used to my new setup since I have a laptop now which is awesome so if I need to do travel arrangements, etc I have all my info with me :0).

I have been feeling all Isabella's movements lately. I guess she is getting big now :0).I was 28 weeks on Saterday, I cant believe how fast time has gone and to think my daughter was born at 36 weeks which is like 8 weeks away from now scary.

I went for a doctor appointment on Thursday. I will try upload the video for you guys. She is 1.44 KG already and very healthy and active. I did have a bit of tiny light brown discharge on Friday so went back to the doc and she did an internal exam and an internal sonar and my placenta is still lying low and its unlikely that it will move now, she was only going to check it at 32 weeks again so maybe it will move then. I have to watch out for bleeding now so next month I want to get everything finished so I can just take it easy.

I loved catching up with everyones updates :0).

@Happi - I take my hat off to you for being able to study while pregnant and have an older child but I suppose you can do anything you set your mind too. WOW! Those pics are amazing!!!!!

@Zaza - That is absolutely terrible, I was tearing up as I was reading it. - I cant imagine what those parents are going through! I suppose we don't always understand the things that happen. Nice bump pic! Our tummies are getting big now!

@Carmy - WOW! those scans always amaze me! They are so clear. It must be amazing for the person doing the scans to see the babies all the time.

I have attached a pic of my belly I took on Saterday at 28 weeks. The end of the table is sticking out behind me and it looks like my belly button and my daughter photo bombed the pic :0)

Hi ladies,

How is everyone doing? Summer is officially here :)

No new complaints on my side. We went for our 4d last week, and saw our little angel's face so nice and clear. She looks just like her big sister  ... My eldest daughter could not believe that she was actually looking at her sister live... I ate a chocolate before we went, so baby was very active and even swallowed a few sips of water while we were looking at her :silly:
I am struggling to upload the photos but will try again a little later

How is everyone feeling? I think we are going to suffer this last part of our pregnancies in summer, as they are predicting a very hot summer for us.

Anyway, I actually need some advise on breast pumps. I cannot spend a lot of monies, but actually want to buy one. With my first LG I had a NUK manual pump, and will honestly say I really struggled with it. She refused to latch (even after 2 very expensive lactation consultants) so I exclusively pumped for her... it was such a mission and I would like to have it easier, if this one also refuses to latch.

Have a lovely week ladies... and thank you for all the advice :-)
