@Nix Wow that's a great bump pic, you can see Isabella has grown hey from the last bump pic, poor Daniella I hope she gets well soon and you take it easy, I know how we don't sleep when they not well we just want to make sure they still breathing......motherhood paranoia. Shew you talking about baby pains, lol I had the exact same calf cramp two nights ago, I screeched with pain, took so long before I could straighten my leg. Last night I hardly slept, I feel soooo tired today, cause baby Zaina lumped herself to one side and refused to move, my belly was so lop slided and heavy that when I tried to turn over I just couldn't. and you are right the banana no longer helps with those cramps, from what I know those severe cramps are actually baby sitting on your sciatic nerve so it's about getting them to move off the nerve so we feel better, last 3 days baby has been hurting my ribs, a lot also, feels like she is turning also, but the movements are wider and harder sometimes funny and lovable but boy do they hurt your ribs sometimes, I try rubbing her away into another position if it hurts, just imagine how fast they are growing though!!!.

I will post my bump pic after my 28 week scan next week with a good pic of baby hopefully, hopefully I can discuss my exact C-section date with my gynae by then before I book my bed, and see the hospital and book the 4d scan, I did do my pre-auth with the med aid using the 40 week EDD just to have the event loaded in case of emergency, but will amend once I know when the C-section is booked. I must admit I get nervous about the C-section, my first one was an emergency and was done so quick I barely recall what happened, this time around cause it's planned I have a lot more questions.

Hello Ladies.

It is a bit quiet here lately, I think that we get lazy and now tired that its a mission to type. LOL. Daniella had bronchitis over the weekend but its cleared up now, Her chest was so bad when she slept that with every breath I could imagine her lungs working because she was wheezing so bad. I think I might have a bit of bronchitis but I am not coughing a lot but I don't feel sick. Thankfully its weekend tomorrow.

My daughter was getting irritated in the car last night when we were waiting in the KFC drive thru so I took my phone and went onto my gallery which seemed to keep her entertained and every time she saw a picture of my belly but my face was cut off she would say Mum. It was so cute. I am slowly getting heartburn and I cant eat so much anymore otherwise my ribs hurt. I also stretched this morning and my calf muscle went into a spasm and it was so painful so that is starting now and I remember it clearly from my first pregnancy. I don't think a banana helped at night but will give it a try.

Otherwise Isabella is very active, it seems like she is busy turning head down. I feel lots of movements today close to my ribs on both sides.
Does anyone else feel pain when baby pushes on a certain spot, I think she maybe bruised me on the inside??

@new mommy - WOW, I can imagine the stress you have. What subject do you lecture?

@Zaza - that's so cute when we can start interacting with our unborn children :0). I also play with Isabella when she is active. I call it knock knock but sometimes it seems like she gets irritated with me poking and then I stop. I am also going to start singing to her in the shower like i did with Daniella. I used to sing twinkle twinkle and when she was born and I needed to calm her down I sang that to her and I noticed that it helped calm her and it came in handy in the NICU when they put her into a incubator to move her to the high care side, she hated it because she was used to lying open in a bassinet under the lights.
The baby expo is really good to go to but you have to be there early and there are lots of specials that you can get there so its really worth it.

@Lashy - Sorry to hear about your heartburn, mine isn't so bad yet but I remember how I felt with Daniella. It sucks sometimes to have to behave especially now that its warming up and you just feel like a nice cider. I remember getting tipsy on a beer shandy the first time I drank. LOL! Congrats on the house. Would love to see a link or pics. Now the waiting in the horrible part but it will be worth it in the end! Its so precious that your hubby got to feel baby kick for the first time! :0). He must be so excited.

@Carmy - Such a cute bump pic! This website is very helpful. Here is the link to the group I was part of during my first pregnancy www.moomie.co.za/11-mommies-by-months/22...il-2013?limitstart=0. It might be interesting also to have a read through because we updated also once our babies are born and you might learn something from the experiences.

Have a good evening ladies and take care! xxxx :P
I have attached a bump pic I took a little earlier. I am 25 weeks and 5 days today xx

@Carmy - awwwwww I love the bump pic, see I told you it will come on soon, and watch it grow from here as your little bug gains the fat rolls, lol.

I also go read the other groups posts, there is so much you learn from each one and so much you forget from one pregnancy to the next. Glad you and hubby are feeling those kicks, I mentioned long ago also if you can keep and old toilet roll holder, let dad use it against your belly to talk to the baby, it just echo's for the baby an you will be amazed how they react.

My LG gets the most reaction out of baby so far, I think they can sense their siblings. WOW you past half way!!!! it's amazing now that I finally got to the 3rd trimester how other worries creep in, like monitoring babies movement, sometime I realise I went all day without feeling baby move, then I realise baby probably did I was just too busy to notice, other worries include keeping baby in to 36 weeks at least cause a lot can happen, and talk about clumsiness it comes up so much, I have to hold railings up and down stairs cause I feel like I have 2 left feet.

And then you feel you baby move and forget everything and sit there in awe of the little one, and start stressing the next day again, lol.

I make a list of questions for my gynae, cause I'm thinking about when baby comes, my after care, planning for the future, and I am sure you will go through all this as well, but take it one step at time. somehow things do eventually fall in place. We always here also if you need advice or input

Hello Ladies :)

How are we all feeling today? Everyone is so quiet? I must be honest, I'm sort of glad that the cold is back - I don't think I'm ready for summer, I'm scared I am going to DIE of heat!

@ Lashy, hahahaha I can definitely relate to that pic - Hubby has only felt Bug kick a few times and he has been going for almost 5weeks.. I can almost see the kicks already but he always misses them. The other night they were playing a little, Hubby nudged my belly and Bug kicked back - They did this about 5times - It was so sweet :)

@ Zaza - Third Trimester!! YAY!! Can't wait to get there :) Thank you so much for the all tips you are sharing. I have started copying interesting things I read into a word document to revise later on - I am so scared I start forgetting everything! And playing with the torch sounds fun - I want to try it :)

I am finding myself spending a lot of time on the Sept 2015 and Oct 2015 forums - I just love reading about what all the ladies are going through with only weeks or days to go before they give birth!! Its all so exciting and each day is just making me more and more impatient! ARGH!!!

I am 22weeks and 3 days today, still a very easy pregnancy. My appetite seems to have stabilized a bit, and heartburn has not started yet - Thank Goodness!! I just need to get through September and then we will start with shopping and the nursery!! YAY!! Even though everything is already done in my head - LOL

Have a great day all!
Bump pic attached.

@ Lashy hahaha that cartoon is so accurate, I always tell hubby he just has to be patient. Glad to her your BF felt the kick though. Yes it's spring we have rain in DBN since 1 Sept but we need it. I love those lolly ice creams :silly: :silly: I must say you very brave to almost due and moving house. you must round everyone up to do the work for you!!! Howz your daughter doing, does she have any reaction to the growing bump, and by the way where is the bump pic?

Anyway hope the other ladies are good, everyone has been so quiet lately, I suppose you are all very busy with shopping and planning for the babies (I hope cause I am just plain feeling lazy), I did start shopping have most of the things for my hospital bag and babies bag, it's a start I think.

I must admit today I have had a few head aches and some nausea, not sure why, very tired and sleepy nowadays so I sense some of those first trimester symptoms are coming back. :( :(

I also find myself thinking if I will want more children after this, part of my maternal instincts say you can do it again but my logical brain is saying close that shop, lol

Started craving ice lollies already and Spring has only just begun.

We had a spring day thing yesterday and whilst everyone sipped on some nice looking cocktails I was stuck with an appletizer.. Lol

So my BF felt baba kick for the 1st time on Monday night. He was soooo excited hey.. posted the attached for him on FB. Lol

And now househunting has officially stopped. Papers all signed. Now we wait patiently for trf. I am soooo relieved and hoping we'll be settled in by latest November.

How are you all doing?

Happy Spring day pregnant mama's

Hope you and your babies are all well.

So I'm on my 27th week and according to some charts that's the start of my 3rd trimester, sometimes feels like it took very long to get here but when I think that my little baby Zaina will be here in another 10-11 weeks time, I realise how fast time has gone by.

I feel so unprepared for this baby, keep making lists of "to do, to get" but have not physically done anything, lol. I'm just so tired all the time, so we went to the Mama magic Expo this weekend, and as usual it's over whelming, I bought nothing cause my LG just refused to co-operate I think it was too much for her as well, the Baby City stands had the most specials if any of your are going for the upcoming Expo's - diapers, bum creams, bottle sets, wet wipes all reduced by about R50 and in bigger bundles to last longer so may be worth checking out when they in your town.

So have any of you tried in utero stimulation for your babies, you get stimulation by:

- sound (your voice, and those around you, and music or reading)
- touch stimulation
- light stimulation

I notice when I sing my LG to sleep or read her stories at night the baby also stops moving and I think also falls asleep or calms down. I had a routine with my LG when I was pregnant with her, when I drove I would play her music by Kenny G and she used to react to certain songs, so I started trying it with baby 2 this morning and was amazed how baby reacted, my LG use to also move to Bob Marley and UB40 for some reason I suppose each baby has their preference.

My LG and hubby have turns to talk to baby at night and they shine a torch of my belly and move it around and it does make the baby bounce a lot, I suppose it's their bonding time.

Anyway I hope you are all well, will catch up later.
