Morning ladies

Debbie

I peed in the cup this morning, but the doc didn’t say anything or ask me to do a glucose test. I remember doing one at 12 weeks and it was all fine then.

AnaB

I asked my gynae about the hip pain this morning, she says its just the ligaments because of the pressure and lying still during the night. We have a cloud 9 mattress so no springs, its normally comfortable but I think its just my body that’s getting a bit more full of nonsense. You are so lucky your husband buys you things like that, its so thoughtful. I also have swelling feet by evening time and I get restless legs which really sucks lol

30 weeks! Wow, you are in for the home stretch now

Bea

Good to hear from you again, hang in there and I hope the boys stay as long as possible

Pokkeltjie

Hope you feel better soon, nothing worse than a tummy bug

AFM

Appointment went well, baby still a boy lol. He weighs in at 743grams now at 24 weeks. I did my bed booking and the csec is booked for 6 Feb for now. I will be almost 39 weeks then so that’s fine. Unless he decides to come early like my daughter. Just tired, its really hot in Jhb at them moment and I believe we are getting a heat wave again this week. We have no water again today, so I couldn’t even wash my hair bleg

Good Morning Ladies,

How is everyone doing? Going to be sooo hot in Cape Town today... 32 DegC

@ Tanya, I would say it could be that your LO is lying on a nerve - but if it is only when you go to the bathroom I could maybe be a start to an infection of some sorts....probably best just to mention it to your gynae when you see her again
Good Luck with your scan today :)

@ Debbie - I think they only do a glucose test if they pick something up in your urine or if your baba is growing quite big (more than the average)

@ AnaB - 30 weeks...wow! You're almost there hun...soooo exciting! Just take it easy and hydrate all the time ;)

@ Gontse1 - how did it go with your scan yesterday?

@ Nels - how are you feeling?

@ Bea - how are you and the boys doing?

AF nothing new my side....just felt a bit yucky yesterday. Think I might have picked up a tummy bug, but feeling much better this morning.

Hope everyone has a fab day
x

Morning ladies, just a quick update from my side. I'm back in hospital - got admitted yesterday morning at 03:00 with contractions. They've managed to stop the contractions and I'm being monitored for infection - so far all tests are negative. Babies are doing well - now it's just a wait and see game. I started steroid injections yesterday - had the last one this morning - it takes at least 48 hours to have an effect. So at this stage I'm not sure whether we'll be having the babies by the end of the week or whether they will still be able to stay inside for a little while longer.

Hope everyone is well xxx

Good afternoon ladies

I think the gynae sends you when they not happy about your urine or if they one of those that sends you to every test available.

I went to do mine early today since he has been complaining every time about crystals in my urine. What makes it worse is that I cannot stomach juice or fizzy as a results right through my pregnancy I have been drinking water.

I will hear the results next week when I go for my next appointment.

Nothing much from my side, I am just tired all the time.

Debbie. I wondered about that as well! Or is the urine tests enough until Dr. sees something? First two visits my Dr bit my head off asking me what sugar i had. Now i make sure i have nothing the night before or the day of my visit lol. He once told me not to drink fruit juice. I asked him what on earth am i suppose to drink and with a straight face he told me : WATER. Lol. I guess gestational diabetes is a huge problem. I'm not going for any testing unless Dr tells me to.

Tanya. You only get the pain when you go to pee? As in you think there's a link with the pain and a full bladder? I do know there is a link between lower back pain and kidney function.
I have lower back pain but its all the time and worse when I've been on my feet for too long. My husband bought a special new crazy expensive mattress and a preggie belt all in effort to help my back pain. So i know your pain! But i hurt my back badly in 2003 so thats my problem. The bigger i get the more painful it becomes.

Nels. Get better soon! Shame hun.

Welcome to the 3rd trimester Gontse and Nnita! I'm 30 weeks this week. I've been warned the last month is the worst! And it will be high summer. My feet are already swelling bad.
