Hi moms
Glad to hear everything is looking good, BabyT. Honestly, in my first pregnancy I just took folic acid, omegas and calcium. My doctor was asking about vitamins this time so I just bought some cheap ones from Clicks, but then a rep was giving out Pregnacare liquid and I got 2 months supply of those. Must be honest, the liquid tastes terrible so it sometimes makes me feel a little nauseous and I couldn't face it this morning after a late night at friends. I had intentions of taking two omegas per day, but I've only been taking one.
I'm seeing my doctor again on Wednesday, need her to sign off a form for me to fly to Cape Town on Thursday, was originally supposed to see her the next week and then our plans to go to CT for a wedding ended up messing up the original scheduling. So looking forward to the break! I am exhausted!!
Pregnancy comparisons, I am bigger than I was last time at 26 weeks. Not sure how much so. Still super annoyed with everyone who thinks that it's ok to pass comment about how it's still so long to go, but I look like I'm going to pop at any moment or crap like that. Getting to the point where certain foods are triggering heartburn, legs feeling heavy, but so far no cankles. For me the main differences are the fact that obviously been feeling the kicks for quite a bit longer, can't say whether Evangeline is more active than Eliana was. I haven't had as many aversions and I've been generally a lot more relaxed, but had more vomiting. It's still just not having the same time to contemplate things, I don't really feel like I've been able to bond as much while pregnant what with having a toddler to run around after. But then the last time I felt so "connected" before birth, but when Eliana was born I felt detached and things were surreal for a while, it took me a few days to really love and bond with her properly. So I guess we'll just see what happens.
Anyone else having some leave over Christmas?
