Hey Ladies

This weather in CT is fantastic, was warmer outside today than inside.

The bottle is not going well. If it is given when he is hungry he just screams, if he isn't hungry he just chews on the tit. I have a feeling its the formula. We are going for shots tomorrow, so I will ask the sister then. I think I will end up expressing for him to take it.

Welcome Sana. Sorry I can't help you with that. I seem to be having the same problem. Also exclusively breastfeeding. Whats your LO's name? So I can add you to the list.

Sana one big tip I received was to not be there when the bottle is given, otherwise they can smell you and know you are there so reject the bottle.

Renzo does it not help if you hear her cry for your let down? Get hubby to feed her while you express, that way you may get a bit more after hearing her hungry. Eva is 4 months now? wow

May be we could make a Facebook group and make it private? That way we can share what ever we want? But I like this thread at the same time, but for some reason it is very quiet.

Babyshoes Luke is too cute. They are all growing up 2 quickly.

Hi ladies

Well still no luck with latching... I've given up, now when I try and BF her she looks at my breast with uter disgust... sigh... I'm kinda sad but got a breast pump... but I'm not really getting anything out... if I hand express I get out more... feel like such a lost cause...

Anyhoo, Eva went for her 4 month check up and her paed is really very happy with her development! Says she's actually taller for her age unlike the nurses at the clinic who says she's short :) yay! she lost a bit of weight when she was sick, so was weighing 5,780 last week, and cos she was on antibiotics i couldnt take her for her shots yesterday, so we'll go next week.

Otherwise, how is everyone doing?

I bought her her first cereal and purity food, it was so exciting, but havent given it to her yet, her dr said I can start but shouldnt be ina rush and should rather wait until she starts waking up more at night again, so thats what i'm gona do :)

Now all I need is a feeding chair :D

Dh thinks im being ridiculous cos the chairs are expensive, but I kinda persuaded him that we should get the one that transforms into a table and chair so she can get used to eating at a table :)

ANy ideas on feeding chairs???

this thread is quite quiet... is it better to chat on FB?

IF so, for the ladies I don't have added, would you mind if we all start a thread on FB??

Hello mommy's

How you all doing? Hows the weather in CT lately? Amazing hey? Loving the best sunny days we having - sadly tho tomorrow is the last day of this and then the rain starts again...

Luke started to get the flu... and luckily we were able to stop it before it got bad! :)

Bronz - hows the bottle feeding going? Does he not like the teat of the bottle or the formula itself? I was thinking if it is the teat then you could put clycerine on the teat cos its sweet and babies like that (that is what I sometimes do with Luke to get him to take his dummy).

The other day when I was at the Dr with Luke - Luke was weighed and with his clothes on he weighed almost 6KG! He is becoming a big boy and mommy id sooooo proud!

Today my little man is 2 months old! 2 whole months - can you believe it? Time is really flying by! A friend said to me the other day that before I know it Luke will be a year old, then going to school etc etc! Yikes I dont even want to think about that! HEHE!

Im enjoying being a mommy, loving the challenges and enjoy learning new things about my baby! I hope you guys are enjoying it too!

Have a lovely evening everyone!

x

PS: Eventually got a pic of Luke smiling!

Hey Ladies.

I did not really watch the soccer, watched here and there. Watched the first part of the final then fell asleep  . They shouldn't have done it so late then.

Babyshoes: Thats a really good weight gain. Graeme was not that good, took 3 weeks to get to birth weight. But now he is playing catch up fast. The doc says he is ave weigh now and above ave length, so he is long and skinny.

I am coping pretty well, well I think I am. Last night was a real test. We decided that we would give Graeme one feed a day of formula just so he is used to it. So last night he was hungry (don't think that hungry really) and tired. And I decided to do a strict bed time routine. He was crying and performing, did not want the bottle. Hubby was trying to give it to him or calm him. I went and got the bath ready. Wanted to put him on the boob, hubby said no as we need to use other methods to calm him too. Once he was in the bath he was a bit upset then calmed right down. Hubby bathed him and creamed him (which he normally screams through the creaming, he was calm and chilled), then I feed him again and put him in bed. So last night he slept from 8 till 3, and settled right away.

Any one have any hints on how to get G to take the formula, he did beautifully for the first 2 feeds. Now he wants to know nothing of it.

Stacey you must try video the first giggles. Graeme has started with the noises for the giggle its almost there.

Ladies keep warm.
