My little boy is also picking up weight so nicely. I think I might start solids at 4 months or so.

My LG isn't losing much hair, but she's got a big bald spot at the back of her head from rubbing against the mattress! Hope her hair grows back soon...

About the BLW - because the whole idea is not to feed your baby purees, cereal, etc, but to offer "real" food like carrot sticks, etc that is appropriate for his/her development, you have to look out for the following: he/she must be able to sit completely upright (with or without some support), be able to grab food and take it to the mouth and make chew-like motions with the mouth. Our LG was christened on the 28th of Feb (it was a VERY hot day - 42degrees!!!) and a very special occasion. She wore the dress that her greatgrandmother made and that my mother and myself was christened in. Her grandfather christened her and it was also her great grandmother's 80th birthday. So lots of celebrations!
