Morning ladies.

It seems like the anti biotics are working. I am feeling better, not so sluggish anymore. I also don't have as much pain as during the weekend and on Monday and Tuesday. I just pray that once the AB is finished the infection will stay cleared and not return.

Connor is home from school today, woke up during the night with a fever an dcomplaining his whole body hurts :-( Xadriaan has a severe cold it actually seems like flu. Danette has an ear infection and ear hurts so much she cries! Micayla has a throat infection :-( HELLO WINTER! I hate when my kids are sick, wish I could take all that away!!!

@Rhodine - I forgot to add that I apply some Eliz Arden powder (the one with the zinc in) to her neck after her bath. So if I missed drying some of the folds it helps absorb the moisture.

Morning ladies!

@Shariefa
File Attachment:

@EP - how are you feeling today? Hope the meds are working.

@Rhodine - I use sudocream and bepanthen (alternate it) on my LG's neck when it gets chafed. Works well for her.

@Nixie - I use Pampers (Huggies leaks), but last week also started using cloth nappies at home.

My LG also sucks on her hand and anything she can grab hold of. And she drools over everything! lol I'm gonna start giving her the teething rings today. I've looked, but her gums doesn't look swollen yet. But she did not appreciate me rooting around in her mouth! :)

So sorry about the soreness in your baby's neck.

Are you using bibs with a plastic back cover? DON'T! And put a dry bib amd clothes on him as soon as it gets wet. Try sprinkling some Maizena in his neck to help keep it dry. Sound like you may need some kind of slave to help clear the chafing and soreness before it gets infected. Why not just take him to a chemist and ask to pharmicist for something?

Hi all,

Ai feetjie- I am praying that you will recover without the operation - I had mine removed. Still waiting for pics on Jaqui's christning ;-)

I was retrenched based on the last in first out thing yes, Friday is my last day here at work.

What a crappy weekend I had, Shaun started vomiting all his feeds, eventually took him in to casualties at wilgeheuwel hospital on sunday night and he was admitted. An hour after battling to get a drip into my poor child they gave him a rest and then ten minutes later tried again for almost half an hour before they got it in. had a viral infection ;-( but was discharged yesterday. He is almost 5 months old, was due the 24th of Feb but had an emergency c-sec the 6th of Jan 2010.

His new pead said i had to change his diet;-(
Now it is a bottle s26 promil 2 when he wakes up, ceralec cereal midmorning, purity for lunch and a bottle afternoon, and then at night he has only about 150ml of formula then he is asleep.

i urgently need advise please, i noticed last night in his folds of his neck it it red and irritated from the milk that regardless of using bibs still manages to get in there, while he was in hospital they never used bibs or even bathed him, now it is so red and chaffed and obviously sore. I used fissan paste on it last night, i dont want to take him to the doctor if any of you could maybe help and advise, i would really appreciate it.

Thanks ladies

Bless you allxoxox have a good one

Thanx ladies.

Shakira you are really fortunate - you must enjoy all those precious moments. I miss my baby so much. I work close to home so I go home lunch time to feed her. She is really getting use to the bottle and i so much wanted to breastfeed for longer.

She also drools a lot and chews on her hands.

Oh and I also use pampers..
