Karatemum - sorry to hear about you and hubby - I think it must be something in the air!

DH and I seem to be getting along a little better, so I am just trying to be positive and think that its going to stay this way for a while!

The weather was fantastic this weekend! We had some friends over for a braai and Jensen really enjoyed himself and was exhausted at the end of the day! (which was great for us!)

Jensen has started repeated certain words which is just too precious! Shaun asked him on Saturday if his mommy was pretty and he replied with pwitty :) Made my heart turn to butter!

Misty - I got some advise about using euchaliptas oil (spelling sorry) on Tadhg's chest, you can get the Dischem make for R20. I put a few drops on his chest and back and rub it in, it helps loosen any phlegm inside which they then cough out. I tell you it's worked a bomb with Tadhg his cough went in 3 days this time. Maybe something to try?

Lauren - The marriage thing, erm, yes! Hubby and I have had bad fights and I am so not a ok yes kinda person so it gets to screaming and he has a habit of then laughing at me, now that pee's me off. I think it's all the frustrations of life and the face it's the 1st kid so obviously was just us before and now he feels left out, but men being men he lashes out in anger even though it's hurt that he feels. When He is in a good mood I try and get in thoughts to him (I plan out wording etc beforehand like when we aren't talking) or write it all down, what I'm feeling etc and then hand him a letter. Then it's up to him to respond. Sometimes he just ignores it sometimes he gets back to me. Slowly things get sorted but it takes ages as he tends to get angry fast and I'd rather not argue any more so leave it when he starts acting childish. But your hubby saying you're a bad mom is not on, please don't believe that for a second. We are here if you need to rant!

Brushing Tadhg's hair is well impossible, most of the time I don't even bother. It's gone curly so looks a mess most of the time so he just sports a 'just-woke-up' look all the time :)

WOW you are so lucky to have a Physiotherapist in your family Lauren. I am a pro at the patting on the back I just wish I had that machine to suck the phlegm out.

Ok so I can totally relate to what you saying re marraige problems when baby arrives. This is our second child so this time round and after years of marraige we are now starting to understand each other. However when Morgan was born it was a completely different story boy did we argue. His family also played a big role in our arguments and we were close to seperation but I made a choice that I will not allow his family to destroy what I really wanted and I now choose my battles.

A word of advice I can give is to make more time for hubby, men are extremely jealous and us as women just want to be the best Moms so we become obsessed with our little one's. Hubby and I dont have no quality time which can become a problem at times.

Good Luck to you Lauren I am thinking of you, try to make time for hubby when LO is asleep talk things out in a calm way and remember you as the Mom always know best about your LO so dont stress to much about Hubby wanting to do things his Mom's way.

Jensen also seems to suffer with his chest - he hasnt been hospitalised yet but has had to have physio 3 times. Luckily for us, my brother in law has just finished studying to be a physio and is away until the end of the year to do his practical - so from next year we will have a physio in the family that can do everything for free!

I so badly want to keep Jensen's hair long but its starting to get unruly and no matter how much i comb it it just doesnt calm down :)

Just out of interest - are any of you or have any of you expeirienced problems in your marriage since your LO's arrived? DH and I seem to be fighting CONSTANTLY about anything and everything - the smallest thing will trigger a fight and I honestly dont know what else to do.

I am trying to be the peace maker and just say "yes, ok" to everything in order to not fight, but its really getting me down!

It seems as though he is comparing me to his mother (who didnt exactly do a stellar job), nothing I do is right and its even come down to the point where I get told that I am a bad mother! I am doing the best I can and the best I know how to - its not as though I have had any practise!
