lol, its too cute.

Wow, talk about lungs, dh and I laugh saying that the second lot of steroids for their lungs while preggies really did something for these babies, boy oh boy are they loud.

Alessandro cries like a real baby, he cries Waaaa, waaaaa, and the lips go down and out, Athena cries Naaaaaa, naaaa with the odd waaaa inbetween and Alexia, sheeesh, she screeches and its just Aaaaaaaaaaa with the odd naaaa and waaaah, lol. (quite an odd post)

chris - emily also attackes my boob when she's decided she is starving (poor child):) and has this adorable cross shout noise that she makes. i must saythat she is much more vocal than what ashley was. she was a quiet little mouse but emily is a feisty madam- and i love it! she stresses me out sometimes but i laugh at her very often. love the little things this tiny person does xxx

Maryke, so glad the boys are home and routine was kept!

Yvette, she does that with her bottle and dummy, its so funny, but she lands up choking herslef with the bottle cos of it, so we have to attempt feeding her carefully at first, then she sucks so hard in the beginning then at the end she sucks it as tho she sucks the dummy, very lazy, you take the teat out her mouth and its still, with the tongue still moving, its so cute.

I agree with you ladies, especially with multiples, the dummy is what keeps you sane! And with them being prem it helps the sucking and its a BIIG comfort for them, I can vouch for that.

hi girls.

sorry about being quiet. been in thinking mode for a while. we have to trackers put on out company cars next week and our blackberry's have tracking software too apparently. i am worried because i had this fantastic plan to be home every day from 3.30pm after seeing my expected number of customers... but my director is a real clock watcher and demands that we work till 5. i am scared because i do not know what i am going to do i.e. fetching cameran from aftercare, prepping dinner for us, feeding ashley and emily and all that other stuff. i can't jippo the system now because he can just log onto the internet and see where i am, at any time of the day. i live about an hour from my closest hospital which makes travelling time much more.

about dummies, agreed with vix. i would never take ym babies' dummies away. their sucking reflex is still strong now and it would mean i'd take their comfort away. they don't know what a dolly or teddy is now to have a cuddle with. yes, emily wakes up realising her plug is not in her gob, and has a good old moan about it, but really, how hard is it to just put it back for them? from 4 months, they will figure out how to put it back. put the dummy on dummy chain so they learn its there during sleeptime, then they'll put the thing back themselves. i only give emily the dummy after her feeds when she stil feels like sucking, but is not hungry, and when she is in bed.

ster - about inge's sleeping, maybe she is also overtired? emil and ash both scream when they are overtired and bedtime (naps included) can be a real pain. maybe make her little bed soft and comfy and play with her there so that she begins to like it? she;s crying to be in your arms because she prefers it there, because she has always been there. maybe when she figures out that being on other places, its not so bad afterall. but watch for that overtiredness though - its a bugger. emily loves loves to be under her playgym. she leans over now to swat her toys that are hanging at arms reach her her. she coos and screeches and kicks her legs with excitement. very cute. also, doe singe sleep in a carrycot or normal cot? if in a normal cot, maybe she doesn't like all the openess? try a carrycot for a while and she may feel a little nore secure.

chris - does alexia attack her dummy when you put it back in? :) emily does and its quite funny. nice one on the 2am thing especially that all 3 slept so long!

maryke - so glad the boys are ok. how did they get salmonella anyway? hope you managed these last few stressful days ok!

binks - hello clover! hows things your side?

vix - i agree with the castor oil thing, (head hanging humbly)

meags - its so sh!t at the last hey? maybe things are happening down there. mina and binks were already dilated by 36/37 weeks and they didn;t even know it. whens your next midwife check?

mina - how are you?

mommy - where are you these days? how are you doing?

Hi Ladies

We are all home and life is getting back to normal, I must say I am very happy even tho we where in hospital the boys still stuck to there routine, phew I was dreading the brake in the routine but all is well...

Vix I am with you with the dummy and when they do get a bit older they eventually put it back themselves and you don't need to get up (well most nights)

Ster you must find away that works for you my way might not work for you but someone elses way might it's all about trail and error goodluck...

Chris I try and put the boys in there cots for the long nap but the quick little power naps they have in there bouncers, during the day I keep the door open and have whitenoise in the house at night I just close there door to keep out most of the loud noises like the tv and Frances-Jane

Hope you all have a great week!

Lol vix, alexia screams when the dummy falls out, and I find she still doesn't suck properly, you must see her drink her milk, oi, and she sucks the dummy like she is sooo hungry, but its good that she spits it out once she's asleep.

Last night dh went to sleep and I slept in the tv room for the next feed, I sent my alarm for 24h00 (3 hour feed was at 24h15), I only woke up at 2am! And thats cos I heard a niggle from one baby, but they slept 5 hours! So we almost on our way to that longer sleep, we have also had toup their feeds as they have been finishing their bottles most of the time.

Forgot to say earlier, athena has been battling with constipation since yesterday, I think its the formula,we had to give her some sugar water and it then worked, poor baby, she has been suffering so much lately.

Meags, I agree with Vix, when I knew I possibly had a week left I tried to enjoy my belly as much as possible and it was hard that last week cos I was so sore, I cried the one day from p[ain and practically had to lie down most of that week, so as much as you want it finished now, try to embrace your belly as much as possible and enjoythose kicks while it lasts, well for me it was very bitter sweet cos I wont be pregnant again.

Anyway, today has been a bit of an emotional day for me, feeling a bit better though, just days like this makes me miss my mom sooo much and it doesn't make me feel any better.

Hope all has good nights and babies sleep well.

Ster- Personally I always think full sleep training must only be done from 6m but it doesn't help to coax them into easier ways to sleep and I think going from rocking to just plain holding is a very good start.

Chris- I personally would NOT take away a dummy ever especially for sleep training, the need some comforts and really it's not getting up to put a dummy back in that's a pain it's when you have to rock them to sleep especially when you have more than one. No No NO keep your babies dummies if you can!

Meags- I'm sure Mattheiu will come early because your body will only take so much and look at you hun, you're huge (in a beautiful preggy way) surely soon your body is going to want itself back! I think once DH is back from Germany it's time for you to start trying all the labour inducing methods, well except the castor oil one, I honestly believe that leads to C-sec in many cases. All the 'natural' ways are far less intrusive on the body.

In all honestly I don't think I actually cope that well having a toddler aswell, I do feel like I neglect him too much. I'm just so scared to put him in school because I don't need sick kids!
