Jan/Feb 2011 Mommies (Nov & Dec 2010 early babes)

Hi ladies

So yesterday we went to the paed, babies are doing well, was not impressed with him, but went to him cos he was babies dr at birth, so I will be going to different one from here on. Alessandro - 3.2, Athena - 3.3 and Alexia 3.36, Alexia has grown the tallest, the otehr 2 are a bit on the short side Dr was telling us that babies shouldn't be around adults and children who are sick because of RSV and what have you, and guess what, dr is sitting there with Laryngitis and air con full blast cold!! NOt very happy!!!

Saturday night was the first night hubby and I were aloone together with the babies, we all camped out in the tv room, we prop the babies on our couch cushions and they sleep so nicely on them, they on there during the day, we had it sorted through the night with feeds and (2 and then 1), but when their morning feed came, they decided they wanted to be fed the same time, oi! lol, but we managed, somehow.

So we do have a nurse in the week, sunday to Thursday, very sweet and big help. She wanted to do all the feeds, but babies take an hour to eat and fee every 3 hours, and then I would be screwed in the day, lol.

So this morning dh decided I needed to sleep n a bit and our domestic comes in at 7, he told her to wake me up at 8, but I woke up to a screaming baby at 8 instead, then I walk to the kitchen only to find 2 bottles of EBM in hot water for their feeds, might I mention, EBM that was NOT measure out, so I had to throw away over 100mls!!!! I was soooooo not impressed and just want to cry thinking about it, I express when I get a chance, which is like 3 hours a day now cos there isn't time and then sometimes early hours of the morning and now I have to throw it away, plus I gave ebm their last feed and like to spread it in the day, I am so pissed offr about it,, it breaks my heart cos to get ebm for 3 babies is not easy so if they have 2 bottles of it a day then its good for me, but not enough and then I have to chuck it away!! So upset about it.

Mina, maybe try the bennets saline, or Sterimar (works well), then Iv got this Frida thing that u use to suck out any muck in babies nose.

Meags, hope things are better for you, it will take a while to settle in but I hope it will be soon for you especially before baby M comes.

I think Alessadnro is colic, everytime he needs to pass wind or sometyhing he screams, I feel so sorry for him and when I asked the paed yesterday, he wasn't to concerned.

Sorry for not posting for so long but boy o boy am I bussy. i think all our new mommies feel that way. I just wish everything will start getting in place now.

Letitia (my 2year old) is going to the daycare from 8:30 till one. Last week she came home with a cold and now my 3 week old Bernice has got a blocked and stuffy nose. I used Iliadin for 3 days and it helped but since I cant use it any longer she is all blocked up again. She really suffer and I don't know what to do. Don't want to take her to the GP cause they put them on antibiotics and I feel she is still to small. Any advice?

Vix how are you? Have you been to the pead yet?

Lizelle - Just one more night for you!!! Cant wait to see your LG's face. What time are you going in?

Yvette - How is Emily doing with the feeding, still wants to be in your arms all day? I have to make Bernice asleep in my arms, but when she is sleeping I can put her down. Are you giving Ashley any vitamins when going to the creche? I started giving my 2 girls Creche Guard this week, hope it will work keeping all those germs away from my home.

Chris - Your babies are so pretty and I see on FB their weight are picking up nicely. How are you doing?

Good luck to all the preggie fairies still waiting. Sometimes I wish I was still preggies just to have an excuse to rest a bit. Enjoy your last few weeks.

Meags - Men are all the same. They cant seem to understand that we want things to be settled when baby arrives. How are you coping? Did you move permenantly to Miami? Good luck girl!!

Hi ladies.

How is everybody? Well I’m still waiting for my bundle of joy. 14days to go that is if he decides to arrive then. On Friday it just felt to me that I can call my gynie & ask him for a c –section (that I want it now!). But let’s see what the next 2 weeks hold in for me.

Chris, ahh the babas are sooo cute and those outfits.. ag man I understand what your saying about just wanting to be a normal family again and doing things your way.. I think all mommies want that, even though its very hard in the first few weeks especially with 3 babas to take care of. I hope things go *normal* for you soon xxx

lizelle - ooops sorry... just wanted you to know i didnlt forget though anyway!

shoo, emily is challenging of note. just when i think i;ve her waxed, she starts again she likes to be swaddled tightly and needs to suck even after feeds. not too keen on dummies, but takes the avent with a drop or two of gripe water. tried nuk and honey dummy too. think she's a bit colicky actually - because she only plays up at night - ealry evening 6-9pm. she's been drinking from me non-stop - which they do when they have cramps. gonna give her a bottle at 10pm with more bennets in it mixed with breastmilk. my boobs need time to 'refill' now

ashley is sleeping in her own bed now - tonight is night #5, very good little girl. she has some teddies all lined up next to her. quite chuffed - not even 18 months old yet.

chris - loved your pics of the tots. how are you doing? when does DH go back to work? and you?

vix - cooks, you been quiet.all ok there?

ster - all goo d there? inge sleeping better now?

chan - is kade sleeping better now? hope you getting enough rest.
