Got a bit of a flu AGAIN!, but hope it will be all gone before LO arrives. I'm so gonna miss you all while in hospital.

Thanks Shonna, I do need alot of patience, and i normally have a lot of it, but finding this a bit hard, thing is MIL can be a bit over bearing and most times I just feel like our lives are run by her, maybe its just me being senstive now, she helps a heck of a lot (financially), it was a comment I got from her that just pi$$ed me off, you know... MIL's!!

Well Athena seems to be making a 4 hour routine too, which would be great, Alessandro still 3 horly, but I think he is now over 3kg's so I think soo. He is such a little whiner! LOL. The babies are generally good, especially in the day, (maybe its also cos of the help) but they eat and sleep, but after the 3am feed, guaranteed one will be up til next feed then they are so zonked from being tired. Last night it was Alessandro and Alexia - luckily DH wantedd me to sleep as I didn't get much the night before cos Alexia was up from 2am, so last night I would get up for feeds and if dh and nurse were managing i went back to sleep a bit.

Monday I have my gynae check up and then paeds appointment, I cant wait to go, although it should be VERY interesting as our "first" outing with the babies, gosh, all the things im gonna have to pack!

Maryke, how are you feeling with the bleeding still?? Is it light bleeding? Dont you feel a bit week cos of it?

MommyNI think especially with Sarah being a little girl,babies are just that much more fascintaing as its like a little doll to them, I know I have to watch my niece, she gets soooo excited and pulls their hands and feet just cos she tries to force them to hold her.

Meags, how is Miami, I have to say I am jealous! Hope you mamanged to find a gynae/midwife.

Vix, how is everything going your side?

Any complaints from our resident preggy fairies ALmost your turn, soon you are all going to be popping and our thread will just be baby talk! Hope you are all managing the last stretch tho.

Sorry for being MIA - its hectic with 2 kids! Hectic hectic hectic!

Chris - I hear you friend, I am sure you just want to get into being a normal family, but for now, you'll just have to bite your tongue and accept what ever help you can get! I still bite my tongue because no one does anything in my house or with the kids the same way I do, but if DH or Granny help out, then I just think never mind. I am sure you will soon be on your own and then you'll have plenty of time to get used to things. It is going to be hectic, but its not forever. Your A team seem to be very content and happy - wow, Alexia sleeps for 4 hours - thats great! And they are beautiful! Good luck! How are you feeling, Chris?

Vix - how was today? I really hope you get through this colic phase soon! Sarah had a bit of colic and its not nice! I am just hoping Nathan is not going the same route - some evenings he is really miserable! Sorry that the Bennetts colic meds is no longer working - pity!

Yvette & Binks - I am there with you! Sometimes it feels like Nathan is drinking every 1 hour! I am called the kitchen in our house... I feel more like a 24 hour take-away cafe! I have started putting Nathan down with my worn tshirt or pj's - in the hope if he can smell me he will settle. But he so likes to be held and comforted. We were encouraged to give lots of kangaroo love when he was born prematurely, but now thats all he wants! I have resorted to puting him in the bed with me some nights - as it is the only way I get any sleep - something I never did with Sarah - but I've learnt not to say never - what ever works goes right now! Good luck! Yvette, I think even if you change to bottles and formula you might still have the problem - I am not sure. Good luck!

Yvette, eventually it does feel like your milk is drying up, but its not actually. You'll be amazed how much there still is. In the beginning you dont enjoy the leaking boobs and engorgement, then when it settles you miss it - because it was a sign all was ok! LOL

AFM, besides Nathan being "clingy", he is much more alert now when he is awake. I am batting to keep him occupied and keep Sarah "off" him. She tries to be gentle but I cant leave them alone for 5 secs! Yesterday I went to hang up the towel in the bathroom and came came to her dragging him (on the bed) by the scruff of his neck - poor thing! He is going to grow up so strong! And I find sudden and loud noises are now waking him up. Until now, you could almost drop a bomb next to him if he was soundly asleep, but now I am trying to control Missy so she doesnt wake him!

I am battling with the terrible 2's and tantrums from her. She seems so whiny at times!

Maryke - I hope what the Dr prescribed helps. I am now on day 15 of my monthlies - with Missy I got my periods at 6 weeks but just a normal one - I never bleed for longer than 2 or 3 days anyway, so this is hectic and irratating. I dont know if it has anythign to do with the Mirena being put in 2 weeks ago? I dont feel like another Gynae appointment...

My Sarah also hated her car seat in the beginning - I remember driving from Pretoria to Johannesburg in peak hour traffic with a SCREAMING baby a few times. I also put off going anywhere because of it, but then suddenly she started enjoying it!

Vix, when are you seeing the paed again? I hope you are not too worried about their weights - as long as they are picking up it should be ok, but rather get it checked out.

Sterretjie - how is Inge's colic going? I am scared no news means you are busy busy busy!

Lizelle, Marie, Kimika, Meags, Carmen and all the other preggie ladies - hope you are enjoying your last weeks (almost last days). You can defnitely see the ladies who are still expecting - they are more active on the thread... LOL. Hope you are all looking after yourselves!
