Ster - congrats again on the birth of Inge, great weight! Such joy, isn't it?

Just a few more days for the rest of you ladies!!

The NNICU at the hosp is full! So many babies. Our babies are doing well, they have all picked up about 30g, did loose some weight, but not much. Alexia is already 1.810.

Vix, ster - how much were/are you expressing, how much should I be gettign (plus minus, I know its different in everyone), I am expressing every 3 hours, I am getting between 50 and +-80ml, today is a week since babies birth?

Yvette- shame sweetie, i hope you're o.k! Castor oil works by giving you a runny tummy and the contractions of the bowel can cause the uterus to contract so i imagine yes it can be quite painful especially if you have been having painful contractions anyway.

Have you tried Evening Primrose Oil? you can insert the capsules right up high by the cervix and it can cause the cervix to soften. I would recommend doing it at bedtime because as the capsule melts it can dribble out. For some it works on one capsule, for some it takes a week but what i have heard is that if it doesn't bring on labour it can actually make for an easier labour because it primes your cervix. Not recommended before 37w though.

Chris- I'm so pleased to hear the A-Team won't need to be in NICU for too long! that's really great news and all because you managed to go so far along in your pregnancy, so proud of you.

Ster- I hope you're settling in at home well with Inge! Enjoy her my friend, you have so much more time to enjoy your first born!

binks and mina - DO NOT DRINK CASTOR OIL! oh my shattered nerves do i have some seriously painful cramps now. its not funny, mt tum worked twice which is fine in comparison. the cramps must just go now. yes you may laugh at me - my stupid fault

Why does she have to stay for this week if DH isnt even going to be around to spend time with her??????
Men really dont get some things...like you say he hasnt had time to bond with the boys yet - I can so imagine my DH being the same and just saying "well we have our whole lives with them whereas MIL is only visiting for a short time"

My DH is constantly telling me to go bond with his mom. HELLO!! She speaks french and I speak english! How the hell are we suppose to bond!!!! It is really frustrating and he keeps leaving me alone with her

Meags, i thought my mil would have gone home by now but apparently she is only going home sunday i am so annoid, we have had no alone time since boys where born i am so agrivated at this point, hubby hasn't had a chance to bond with boys or spend alone time with me and lg and just to find out today he is working this week, what must i do with his mom we don't talk much cause she repeats the same thing over and over and over that i don't even bother to listen further, now to top everything of her sister is coming to visit tomorrow as well AAARRRGGGG!!!!!!!!!!! I think the only reason hubby has his mom here is because he treats her like a maid and she jums at every whimp

meags - bought castor oil just now. bit nervous to take the stuff. but will let you guys know. other than that, only some mucous again yesterday afternoon, and nothing since. grrr.
atleast i know that if this castor oil does not work, it means that my body is not ready. should work for mina and binks though - they are both on 40 weeks... come girls!

mina - being with DH gave me hardcore contraction for a few hours. i was so tired that i eventually fell asleep. but as with the castor oil, if my body and hormones are not ready, these things will not work. if you are going to be with your DH, i suggest you do it really early in the evening so that if the cramps are just strong BH ones, they will filter off by the time you go to sleep. not too cool sitting up all excited and wasting precious snooze time for a false alarm! but make sure you lie flat for atleast half an hour afterwards so that the semen stays up there around your cervix. but i could def say that i had false labour, those cramps were sore and hard and long.
