Ster - Inge is so beautiful she is just perfect. It is best to sleep when baba sleeps but if you have 2 other very active little girls like mine that will be impossible for me.

My emotions are up and down at the moment. I am so stressed and cant get myself to go through one night without having horrible nightmares about giving birth, and to crown everything my parents is going on vacation they suddenly decided and I wanna go with. DH is going back to work on monday and I will be all alone, which I dont like.

I hate this waiting game but cant force myself to settle for an induction.

Yvette are you home yet?

Binks how are you? What time are you going in tomorrow?

Maryke my due date are tomorrow but I am waiting to go in labour.

Hi all

Chris - well done on expressing - your plan of taking your sister with you to the NICU when part of the A-team gets to go home is a good idea. Hope your DH gets better soon.
The stomacah cramps was thankfully only for one day -took Buscopan. the pain was stress induced I think, due to tenants not paying rent etc.

Vix - glad the tweenies slept better.

Ster- you have a good hubby, not waking you a doing the feed. Inge is gorgeous.

I'm soul alone in our department today. LO has been so active yesterday afternoon and this morning.

Ster- she is adorable! I'm totally jealous of those lekker chubby legs, my boys are just skin and bone. You know Inge weighed more than double of Jonathan, in fact she weighed the same as my 2 boys put together at birth, she was 3.8 hey?

Still wanted to say, re the cold or cool formula, if she's taking it like that then that's great. Warm formula causes more issues than cool formula that much we have noticed over the last few years with my friends too. Besides, if she takes it cool then you never have to worry about warming bottles when out or in the night. I loved it when C took his bottles cool. I tried to give Jono cool BM last night and he kept spitting it out LOL What a fantastic hubby you have! Mine would wake me to go feed grrrrr

My wound is very sore again, the clot seemed to go down but E days ago I was really constipated and I think I strained a bit too hard. Because I felt a sharp pain on my wound and ever since it's getting more and more sore. If it's bad on Monday then I'll move my 6w app to 5w and get it checked out, can't be too careful.

Chris- so sad about your friend loosing her uterus, I suppose she haemorraged after the birth, I have a friend who that happened to and I saw how it caused her a lot of heartache. I hope your friend is o.k.

As for the bleeding, I only bled on the first night after that it was pinkish discharge with occasional blobs of blood for about 5 days then nothing at all until day 17 when I had a gush of blood then again 2 days ago a small gush. As long as you're not in a lot of pain I'd say you're probably fine but if you're worried phone your gynae and just see what he says. I didn't bleed any more with 2 placentas than I did with 1 the first time, in fact I think I bled less this time.

I would also say if they don't discharge all 3 at the same time then get your sister to come to the hospital and bring the babies with, especially if you are BF, 3hrs between feeds is not really long enough to get in vist/feed baby then still get home to feed the others. Trust me I did it on the day before Jono was discharged and I was shattered.

I aslo got a fright when they moved Jono to a closed incubator but if you think about it, it's actually a great sign, they are in those open beds at first because they need instant access to baby if something goes wrong, being in the incubator means they no longer fear something major will go wrong that they'll need clear access. Soon my friend, the next step is just a plain open crib then home!

So our Jan/Feb group had a total if 10 babies born before Jan, can you believe it? I saw a pic of Yvette's baby Emily today, she's gorgeous and has a cute chubby little face even for a small baby. I love a chubby baby!

O.k I need to go to sleep, just wanted to reply the really important stuff before settling down for the night.

Hi Ladies

Hope you are all well?

All well on this side. Quess who's MIL is arriving in J'burg as we speak - WHOO HOO. My next couple of days will be fun with me looking after Inge and MIL but I will put my foot down very quickly.

Here are two pics of Inge - I have to take a couple when she is not sleeping but hell - this little Madam is sleeping a lot and I have started today to take the best advise ever - SLEEP WHEN BABY SLEEPS.

I told my mom earlier today that Inge is sleeping between 3.5 to 4 hours during the night until DH told me that Inge was awake last night between 12:00 and 12:30 and he couldn't get it over his heart to wake me up - so he gave her a bottle and got her to sleep again - oops - well, I am so proud of DH.

[Lets see if it is working

Hi ladies

yvette, how are you and emily doing?

Maryke, strongs to you girl with MIL. we were around mine so much last week and she called me just now asking how everythign was (which is fine) but I even get irritated with that, so I can imagine you, and she somehow forces her way around us without you realising (well I do), she asks me Has my tummy gone down?? What has anythign got to do with that or her?? Her and her partner are so you must be careful and what what (re weight), when I was explaining to him last week that I haev to eat properly now, he said ja, but you must be careful, I explained to himt hat I have to for expressing, he didn't say much afterwards, and this is silly things so I can just imagine you!! My MIL says to me that if any babies come home while one is still there I must leave the babies with her, I dont want to do that, I rather have my sister take me there with the babies and she can look after them while Im with the other in NICU. MIl will be VERY offended if she hears that or after a while knows I haven't asked her to take me.

Anyway, about the Eglynol, when I spoke to the paed I think he used the term tranquilizer as "relaxant" as it never came across as a drowsy relaxant :) sorry, I might still try it though, more than likely. I managing to get just over 100mls, got 120 tonight, so averaging 100ml, sometimes its a bit more sometimes not. Does it reach a stage that it reaches a maximum amount or would it increase more? As much as I want to breastfeed babas that are home, I want to give baby at hospital EBM as that baby will need it more.

Alexia and Athena are in incubator cribs now, I walked into the NICU and got such a fright and they said my babies hvae been promoted, they had to explain to me why cos it doesn't seem as an upgrade as much as an isolation, but they said iits b'cos they bigger they're more susceptible to infection now, until they're bigger, maybe the dr decided to do that so they can go home altogether? I'm not sure. Athen is lazy to drink from the bottle, they 2 girls are on some bottle and then the rest they give them via a syringe through a tube, which Athena manages well, and while doing that she sucks the dummy beautifully, so not sure what she's up to, but when I gave the tube I help her to suck on the dummy and she seems quite content, she moves her lips and her tongue as if she is tastign the milk, the nurse said she's never seen a baby do that. I was holding Alessandro Kango and he got a bit niggly so I lay him on his back on my lap, he started smiling as if to say, just let me be mom, lol. I thought to myself he is going to be so naughty, lol. Alexia just sleeps the whole time.

C-Sec ladies - how long did it take for you to stop bleeding or are you still? Jeepers, Im bleedign as bad as I was last week. I think it might be a bit more cos of the 3 placenta's, but I thought maybe longer, not heavier.

Ster, I think while you are still recovering from the c/s, it would be hard to still cope with sore breasts, you know what is best for your system, post some pics of little Inge soon, k!

Binks, not long for you now! I think Paisley is also going in on Saturday.

Vix, saw on FB the tweens slept well last night, well done chick!! Hope tonight is the same! What are babies weights now, do you know?

Mina, how are you holding up?

Carmen, how are you doing, and the tummy cramps?

Lizelle, so sorry about the car, that really sucks big time!! Oi.

This other girl who I met when I had the stitch put in, she also did the same time, pregnant with twins had her babies early hours yesterday morning, they had to do an emergency op on her today and she is in ICU now, nearly lost her life, they had to remover her uterus, dr's told her husband all he can do is pray now, I just got goosies when he told me, my heart went out to him/them.

DH is sick, shame, we went to see babies, he was relived they were in incubators so he could see them but he just felt so terrible, took meds and slept in the car so I could be with the babies, so we left early, I told him he needs to sleep as his system must be run down, hope he feels better tomorro.

Anyway ladies, enjoy yoru evening!

If I dont chat tomorrow, have a great new years! :)
