Getting depressed these days (not really that bad), but it's been raining a few days, we're on leave and can't go anywhere without a car. (damn BMW's engin broke down)...been sitting at home since the 24th Dec (great Xmas pressie...costing us about 22 000). "Great timing" just before ML.

If the son could just come out then at least i can do a bit of gardening before i go back to work on Monday and LO can play outside for a change.
It will be another week without a car, waiting for a secondhand engin to come from Joburg by courier, and then it still need to be fitted. Hopefully the car will be up and running before the end of next week.

Not much news from my side, still need to upload my pic.

Cant wait for pics of Emily Yvette!

Chat again girls, need to do some house cleaning again!

Hi all

Yvette!!! Congrats on the birth of Emily! Glad she was able to feed well.

Maryke - how annoying your MIL must be! Hope the Chiro helps with Aiden.

Chris - you sound so content - hope the A-team get to come together as you wish.

Ster- so sorry you weren't able to BF- must you made the choice that was right for you and Inge.

Vix- Hope Jono's Bf gets better.

Binks - wow 3 cm dilated - looking forward to hearing your news on Saturday!

MommyN - goog lucka at the paed - hope Nathan has a good weight gain.

Hi Lizelle - sounds like you're having a busy holiday.

AFM - had extremely bad stomach cramps yesterday, had to take buscopan. pain was restricted to my stomach. So they were'nt contractions or braxton hicks. So stayed in bed yesterday.

Maryke - I'm using Nan 1 and Dr Brown bottles. Inge is drinking good and burping very easily. Sorry to hear your MIL is still here - damn some people are just to relaxed - doesn't she have a house? Plants to water? LOL

Vix - thanks for the advice. I'm boiling water but then only make the bottle once needed with "cooled down" water. She is not to fusy if the bottle is warm or cold (not ice cold - you know what I mean). Can they get cramps from bottles that are too cold?

My breast are still red and I have managed to get some "Dostinex" for the milk supply. I think if I decided to continue breastfeeding Mastitis would have been my next hurdle. I couldn't believe how big your breast can get...... even DH was shocked. He was worried I would break out singing 9-5 or walk out in a red custome playing Baywatch. I would rather have another C-section than have these engorged breast - they are so uncomfortable.

What I liked about the mid wife - she did not once forced me to continue with breastfeeding - she told us to go home and to discuss it. I then made the decision to stop as I didn't like the fact that Inge was getting too little with every feed.

I do more personals a bit later

Morning ladies,

Chris- see the snuggle nest they make for the babies in NICU, get them to show you how they make it so you can replicate it at home, it made a huge difference with Alex once i did it for him, they say it replicates the sense of being in the womb.

MommyN- let us know how Nathan's check up goes! I'm going to come through to Nelria when she comes back from CT so if you're up to it maybe we can come visit you and lil Nathan.

Maryke- oh bloody whatsit, this MIL of yours!!!!! Sounds as useless as mine was when she came to stay. Do these people have no consideration for the fact that you've just had babies? I hope the chiro works for Aidan, we're having the exact same issues with Jono but i didn't think the chiro worked for C and it cost me R2200
When does your night nurse start?

Ster- I'm pleased you made a decision that you are comfortable with, that's all that matters. BF just doesn't work for some people and there is no reason why new mothers should be made to feel bad about formula feeding. My only advice is the same as i gave Chan, don't use boiling water to make or heat formula, it breaks down the fats and leads to constipation. I made that mistake with C and 2 yeas later we are finally fixing his chronic constipation issues. How are your breasts today? Do you think the engorgement can be from mastitis? You don't feel fluish do you?

Mina- wow to be so scared of needles that you will happily feel the pain of child birth, big up to you my friend because I couldn't do it.

Where is Lizelle these days????? who else have we lost, we seem to have lost all our feb mommies?
