hey ster - very exciting for friday! will vbe thinking of you. i would have my op next week but DH doesn;t want the baby born in 2010... must be 2011 for school etc when its bigger. grrr.
about your blood pressure, it is normal that BP rises at the end of pregnancy, but because you are not sure what it actually is, its difficult to say now. go to dischem tomorrow and check and let us know. but, the dr def will admit you if he feels it is serious, so be prepared. just try to relax because stress and all that can can make it rise.

lizelle - your time is coming soon! don;t worry about it! its not that much longer anyway. atleast xmas holidays are here for you to have a break which most of us didn;t get. lucky for you!

mina - HI! how are you? 4kg is a fab size! won;t be wearing newborn for too long then! hope you didn;t stock up! dr estimates mine at 3.5kg at 40 weeks... little thing. but we will see. feels like its had a massive growth spurt this week.

Hi Ladies

Got a bit of a fright at my gyne earlier. He took my blood pressure and after checking the second time he asked me if I suffer from head aches. The last time I had a Panado was in October. Apparently my blood pressure is quite high - the top end of normal (if that makes sense). I got such a fright that I did not even asked him how much. I was so impressed throughout my pregnancy that my Blood pressure was normal and now this. Any way, my placenta is showing signs of calcification and my amnio fluid is getting less.

He checked Inge's heartbeat (with the band thing around my tummy - sorry don't know the correct name) and he is 100% happy with her heart beat. He is happy with her - she is already 3.2kg.

I don't know if I am a bit stressed re Friday and that is playing with my blood pressure or if it is only because of hormones (as he explained). Also if it was pre-eclamsy (spelling?) and very serious I am sure he would have told me to be at hospital tomorrow morning?! I told DH to take me to Dischem tomorrow morning to check my blood pressure. My ankles are not swollen and I don't have any symtomps that is normally associated with high blood pressure. Inge is also not more or less active than any other day - anything help from you ladies on what I should be on the look out for? Should I stress or is this (semi) normal?

So, Friday is definately the day - I need to be at Clinton at 06:00 and my ceasar is booked for 08:00.

Congratz Chris!!!! Can't wait for the pics.

AFM- had a few bad nights when wanted to get up (well even during the day when i was laying a while), was crying of pain...couldn't walk....then slowly it got better with a panado or 2. Think it was a muscle in my lower back giving problems again.

Not getting much rest @ home with this leave, LO being all active.

Sterretjie good luck for Friday, will be thinking of you*

Chan, kade is so cute*

So jealous of everyone having their babies early, but time is going so fast before i and the rest of us know it, we'll be holding our little ones as well.

Chat again soon.
Hope everyone else is doing great.

Hi there

OMW its been such a long time that I last posted but I followed every word.

Congrats to Maryke, Vix, Chan, MommyN and Chris, you super moms who's babies have been born already. Seem so fynny that we are the Jan/Feb group and so much babies in Dec already.

I am so hoping and praying that Bernice will wait until the 1 or 2 of January although I really can't wait to hold her anymore. Went to the gynie today and he says she looks like full term already and could weigh a whopping 4kg at birth. May he be wrong, cause normal is the way I am going except if her health is at risk.

Keeping myself very still lately, but as from midnight the 31st I wil be jumping, hopping on a ball and doing anything possible so that she will come out.

Chan I am feeling for you about the piles, it is terrible and waiting for me again. Good luck and please if you get something that helps please post.

Vix your boys are gorgeos. My little girl will weigh what they did together that is scary to me, but like the say we are made to get them out
.
Sterretjie gooe luck for Friday

Enjoy the rest of your day and to every one who is waiting like me, soon very soon we will be holding our bundels of joy!

Oh and Chris pics pls cant wait to see those faces!

oh my goodness Chan!! You are scaring me!
I broke my coccyx about 9 years ago and it's broken inwards and they warned me if I didn't fix it then, it would probably re-break with childbirth. well - I never had it fixed...
So now I'll have to contend with broken coccyx and haemhorrhoids!!!!! I've suffered with haemorrhoids since I was about 14 years old

Vix - you need to see a gastric surgeon. I went to one as I had haemorrhoids not responding to treatment and they were there for almost a month and it was torture. However, all he said was "eat more fibre and drink more water and you wont have this problem". I was so pissed off....so make sure you find a nice surgeon who's willing to help you!

Ster - cant believe you're next!!! Oh my goodness enjoy everything that's coming your way :)

Yvette how are you feeling today??

Congratulations Chris!!! Wow I can't believe the triplets are born and such wonderful weights! Hope you have a speedy recovery and can't wait to see pics!!

Vix I'm so happy your boys are doing so great! Well done you're doing an awesome job!! Vix I was told to avoid green veggies, coffee, chocolate, tomatoes, onions, garlic and beans, citrus fruit and apricots by the midwife yesterday. Avoid things like lasagne and bolognaise and spicy foods like curries etc. Gosh its so damn hard!

Well I decided to express and see how much milk he's actually getting and then decide from there what to do. Midwife agrees doing boob and bottle in one feed is crazy because its taking an hour and a half to feed and that's madness during the nights when we should be sleeping as well as its taking all my spare time away from Kyra.

Anyway so now I know the problem - only getting 40ml from both boobs!! My poor child no wonder he needs all the top up feeds! So I've decided to stop the breast feeding completely. With loads of tears and guilt I know its best for him to just get settled in a routine now and get used to one kind of milk. Its been tough but its not about me its about what's best for my babes!

Vix and Meags you don't want to be talking about piles! OMG I got them before I was pregnant with Kyra and this pregnancy they were bad but since natural birth last week - good gracious me! Its so damn bad I cannot walk without holding my bum! They wanted to operate before I left the hospital but I just wanted to get home. Pretty silly I know!

MommyN I'm so glad Nathan is doing well. He's such a little fighter!

To everyone else hi!!! Hope the last few days / weeks of your pregnancy are amazing and that you get to see your little ones soon!
