And by the sound of it little Jono is soon gonna be a big baby Aii I can imagine they must be draining you.. hehe.. wish I had some milk to donate but none for now And I hardly ever had enough milk to freeze so cant even do that! But the eglynol is great and will work well for you. Im so proud of you for being so persistent on the breastfeeding.. it really is the bestest thing for your tweenies at the moment. xxx

Chris I'm so glad your legs are still crossed! I will only see my doc in hospital on Tuesday morning! Unless contractions start before then. Haven't had any contractions today at all! But its still 4 days until tuesday so anything can happen I suppose!

Binks, thats is terrible about the school, do you know if anyone has done anythign about it? You should take it to carte blanche or something, write it to the newspapers. I remember a lady sent an email to everyone she knew as the school her lo was in was hitting the children and doing other stuff. Hope its gets sorted.

MY MOTHER IS GONE!!!!!! I already feel so happy and relaxed and i just know everything is going to work out great from now. She was definitely the biggest cause of my stress. Me and Elwyn just want to relax and get settled on our own. Our babies are 9 days old and only now can we begin to adjust to our new routine, it's not really fair is it?

Newborns sleep the first 3 weeks away and in that time my flippin mother comes to destroy my peaceful life, i couldn't even nap during the day with her here yet both my boys were sleeping from 10am yesterday morning and today.

I have phoned the gynae for a script for eglynol, i just can't keep up with the milk demand since yesterday. Jonathan is needing 300ml today probably 350ml tomorrow and Alexander must be taking more than that already. I had loads when the engorgement set in but almost from the exact moment the 'baby blues' went away on tuesday my milk dwindled. But the fuzzy head has started too so maybe it will take away the edge of the PND that's lurking in the shallows.

I'm really so pleased with Jonathan, he was moved to a closed incubator yesterday which actually looks scarier but in fact it's better because it means they don't have a need for instant access to him anymore so things are looking up. He gained 30g today which is fantastic and they upped his feeds to 30ml a time. he is now 1.640kg and when he gets to 1.7kg he can just go into an open crib like the ones they use in the nursery for full term babies so that's great news!

Yvette- i found for carting milk to hospital that little plastic pickle bottles are working great. i bought 10x 100ml and 20 x 200ml for a total whopping R67 and i can at least re use them. I just was and steralize in milton.

Man i hope i win that breast pump competition! I am determined to bf these boys for a very long time, i don't want to subject their little immature systems to formula, Jonathan didn't digest the pre nan very well but since being on the breast milk his weight gains are better everyday.

girls, for those that will be breastfeeding, go and get these breastmilk bags for storage in the freezer. they are so much cheaper than buying containers that connect to breastpumps. if you look at the latest moomie competition, the bags come from them. the website is:
