Sterretjie, glad your SIL is positive, it makes a difference. Hope you are still feeling better and not feeling so sore today! Here is a sort of breakdown of what you need for UIF:
UI-4 : 5 copies, 3 to be completed by you, handed in prior to birth, other 2 to be completed by dr when baby is born.
UI-2.3 : 1 copy, dr and you to fill in
UI-2.8 : Bank to fill in
UI-19: Work to fill in
UI-2.7 - Work to fill in

Make extra copies as they make mistakes and Home affairs do not accept tippex or scratched out pen marks, also your office might make mistakes (mine did), take a spare copy with to the bank, they have the old form, which is not accepted anymore, incase he makes mistakes too, make sure he stamps it. Make sure your work stamps their form too.

Then with these forms, you require:
- certified copy of ID
- certified copy of marriage certificate
- cancelled cheque or stamped bank statement
- 3 months payslip
- letter from company on letterhead stating your commencment date and that you still work there and what what.

So all the other stuff you need to submit prior to birth, others after birth as those need to be filled in by your dr/midwife. I'm not sure how long before, I heard it was 8weeks (I could be wrong). Another thing, checque your forms before leaving or whatever, poor dh had to go to my work today cos I noticed they forgot to stamp it on one form and had put my commencement date wrong on another, so I had to redo that form.

MommyN, glad the race went well, it is such an achievement to do! And lucky for gettign your phone back, can you believe it!? Glad you are feeling better.

Meags, lol, i f I could last that long, yay! But not so sure! LOL, My sister moans at me and says you must just lay down, thats the only way babies will stay in for long, I loook at her and say yes, its fine for you to say cos you not the one who has to lie down 24/7. But I am trying!

MommyN, I go the sunlight one, my washing machine has a handwash cycle. I just need to wash babies towels. Vix, my MIL asks me why am I doing it all now, I told her cos then its done (as it was with the shopping) her story was I had time after babies were born as they would be in NICU still, I said to her there is no ways I am going to the shops during christmas to look for stuff after having babies with a big cut and while my babies are in hospital, I would rathe rbe with them, they soon got the pic and all left me to do my thing, which has worked out better.

Last night I dreamt I had a "show", I ran to my mom asking her how much of it must be there for us to worry and go to the hospital she looked at me with big eyes and said we must go now. LOL. All my dreams I have had of my babies, my mom has been in them. My sister also dreamt on Sat that I had the babies and my mom was there. I phoned her yesterday to find out something, first thing she sai dto me was "Must we go to the hospital", lol, I couln't help but say yes, but it was only for a split second cos I could hear the panic in her voice. Anway, she is taking me to the hospital today for the maternity tour, Iv seen the NICU but during the gtour they answer some questions that I need answers to.

Oh, and excuse the stretch marks on my poor tummy, but I have a beautiful little girl to show for them....making them so worth it!

Yvette- what a scare - so glad DH was able to give you an IV - muscle relaxant - and the contractions stopped.

Well I never made it to work today! My back is killing me. Been in pain all weekend! Just got back from the chiropractor now and its definitely helped!

Got our scan tomorrow! Can't wait to see how Kade's grown!

Hope everyone else is doing ok and that the aches and pains aren't bad today!

MommyN- wow that was really quite a post! I use the sunlight baby washing powder in the light blue box. If anything needs hand washing it doesn't have a place in my house! Sorry but there is no time for nonsense like hand washing when i have a perfectly good machine. Anything that is too delicate for the machine can go straight into a keepsake box and never be worn!

Marie- great to hear from you. Glad the house has been spring cleaned, i am trying to do 1 extra thing a week so that by the time the babies come it should all be done.

Yvette- so pleased your little baba is tucked in safely and the contractions have gone! now time to rest and not drive so much too!
